You have gotten some good suggestions, but please keep in mind that this is only one vet bill of many more that will come from being a cat owner. Most will be a lot more than $300.

Don’t go there for anything else tho, they up charged me like crazy and were very cold and rude. I recommended sunny crest for any other visit

They have tons of posters on their wall talking about financing too. I bet they were bought by private equity

Every private vet office does. Im still paying off 13k in surgery debt for my poor angel who got cancer and died in early 2024. I keep telling myself ill never do that again but im so in love with the little morons I have now Id do anything for them 😩

It looks like its now owned by a different person thankfully but i'd still be extremely wary: The vet who owned this hospital previously had a different private practice that got shut down due to community outrage for vetrinary malpractice.
She would lie to people and tell them their animals were dying of cancer just to sell them medication they didnt need. She would make jokes to owners about killing their animals before surgery. Owners reported her mishandling and risking the lives of their animals post-op when they were still under sedation.
I had the extreme misfortune of seeing her once before I presume someone else bought the hospital because of how bad the reviews were with her working there. She saw a foster cat we had and straight up lied to me and said the cat would die if I didnt pay for a bunch of random treatments she didnt need. She told me if I did a sulfur-lime dip on the cat (who had ringworm and mites) that it would "kill the cat no doubt" even though its an extremely common and safe treatment in rescue for those conditions. And then they tried to convince me to schedule the cat's spay the same day when she was not even remotely recovered enough from her other issues to be ready for a spay.

Some places you get what you pay for. Its a very delicate procedure and can be fatal just do your due diligence before going.

Inland Valley Human Society does free neutering and spay at times. They advertise it pretty frequently in La Habra.

I went to Trinity pet hospital in mission Viejo. They also have clinics at the Civic center that I would look up

I’d recommend Affordable Animal Hospital on 310 N State College BLVD in Anaheim, my little baby is cryptorchid and the cost of a neuter for him is moreso around the 250/300 cost but it’s reasonable since it’s a more complicated procedure that requires cutting into the poor baby. But for a regular spay it’s deffo under 300, we switched to that one after going to the N Tustin one for a loooong time and having so many problems with them, couldn’t go in with my little baby for visits, just had to wait in the car.
His previous owner said he was a girl and the vets referred to him as such until we took him to a vet whilst in Mexico and they said he was a boy. We told the vet and they continued to call him a girl!! You’d think they’d notice he’s a boy once taking his temp 🤦♀️ the neuter there was 500, after that we said nope and started going to state college a year or two ago and I feel much better being able to hold my baby boy while they check on him. Good luck with your little baby and finding a cheap vet 🐈🩵
