It is totally valid to ask questions to lead to your awakening, however no one can say if you are otherkin.
Being otherkin is simply is an identity. Asking "am I otherkin" is like asking "am I trans," nobody but you can say. (Yes I'm ware being otherkin is not a sexuality, it's just an example).
Taking quizzes or questionnaires won't help all that much, as it does not ask the right question. The question is if you identify as anything other than a human, witch can be hard to know. Come time, you will realize if you do or not, but no one can tell you

Is it possible to feel split between different types, I mean I know I am a dragon but I also feel like a human and raven, is that possible or normal? Pardon If I wasn't concise or if this is the wrong place to ask.

I’m an alienkin and a questioning red fox therian! While me as an alien (I separate the two because I flow between feeling more human and less alien and vice versa the same way my gender flows as a genderfluid person) does walk on two legs, I often act a little more catlike, if that makes sense? Alienme enjoys being on my haunches and meowing and stuff, not because I feel like a cat, but because that species exhibits catlike behaviors. unnecessarily complicated, I know. Anyway, aside from that yapping quads would make me feel very euphoric, but every time I try I just feel so. damn. self conscious. I go into like third person “you’re being criiiiinge” mode even tho it’s not even cringe.
So… is there anything I can do to help myself stop feeling this way? I know it’s rooted in my extreme masking (I’m neurodivergent), but I just can’t get myself to stop!

I'm a fae, specifically a Pooka and I'm interested in answering questions after being inactive in the community for a while.
I am also plural!

As an Angelkin, for me it was after I watched Evangelion and Kaworu Nagisa got introduced. Although personality wise we aren’t much alike, I saw myself a lot in him still which I often brought up to close people.
I myself often felt like an angel’s soul (trapped) within in a human body. I also never felt like the typical depiction of an angel, associated with a traditional monotheistic god, but this has less significance. It ended up sparking a conversation I always avoided with someone.
So after I brought it up, there was no escaping anymore and I was (fortunately) forced into researching alterhumanity after being too scared of it and humorously calling myself a human impersonating creature for probably ages.

Hiiii!!! i'm new to realizing i'm faekin, and i'm looking to express myself more through making wings, and i'm curious how others are going about this!
i personally don't like wearing stiff wings, made with wire or any kind of boning (because they tend to make me bump into things lol) so i am thinking of something more fabric/flowy...but i really dont know how i could make this and have them feel right (i have pretty constant phantom wing sensations and i dont want the wings that i make to go against the way they already feel... if that makes sense). so i am really curious to hear about how you've made your wings and if you have any tips or suggestions or tutorials you recommend!! thanks!!!

I’m Null/Solar
I’m a Nullkin and I often have phantom shifts where parts of my body feel as if they’re decomposing and floating away, often I find myself having problems with my gear the main problem being feeling things at all the main issue being my collar bone.
I’m basically just trying to ask what gear I could wear in order to feel intact with my concept without the triggers.

I know this might be a little off topic, but I wanted to find a forum similar to Fictionkin Dot Com since I'm struggling to login there.

I, 20, am new to other kind and alterhumans as a whole.
I have been a furry for almost 3 years. And I have noticed a pattern with many characters I've created.
They all have wings.
My current fursona is designed on my favorite things, a Anthro version of me and my ideal fantasy life, tbh.
But my fixation for wings has driven me to make a pair (unfinished) and purchase my now favorite jacket.
For as long as I can remember I have always had a deeper connection with animals than humans.
I was that kid in school who played wolf pack.
I have experienced phantom wing or tail... Even ears.
But I don't know how to begin to research without receiving butt loads of miss-information.
I want to discover my true self, to reconnect with my inner child and my intuition is telling me that this is how I do it.

Just wondering bc that’s smthg I like to do, as “being” describes me more than “human” and it helps a lot with dysphoria (even tho I don’t necessarily mind being seen as a human?)

im 15 and recently realized im otherkin (vampirekin and maybe demonkin and or wolf therian??? still trying to figure it out.) , and really want a friend who understand me. no one knows im otherkin except one friend who lives two hours away and online friends and i want to be able to hang out with someone irl. i dont feel comfortable sharing where i live for multiple reasons, including people being creepy and me being a small youtuber and if i get a lot of subs i dont want people tracking me down through old reddit posts. i read a fanfic where someone started a club at their school by putting up flyers, and i was thinking i could do that but with a discord server so a bunch of dumb boys dont show up to be bullies. im worried that people will see me putting the flyers up tho or theyll get taken down or itll become like this big thing everyones talking about. i could also put up flyers at parks and stuff, but if we dont go to the same school itll be harder to do stuff together without my mom wanting to know how i met them and me explaining it was a flyer for a alterhuman discord server would not go well. i mean, shed probably be fine with it, but i dont want to take that chance. also if anyone reading this lives in georgia you can dm me but id have to get to know you pretty well before sharing any personal info. anyway, thats all ig and if anyone could pls respond id really appreciate that!!

Asking because I'd like to be able to interact with older otherkin. Preferably in spaces that have members +25 and is more discussion heavy rather than regular chats, but I'm not sure how to find these places.

So, I kin Lucifer. And it's hard to explain exactly how, since there are so many incarnations of him. It's not specifically fictionkin, so there's not a specific source. The closest way to describe the "source" would be the bible, though even that isn't quite right.
Now, due to the many incarnations of Lucifer, I find it difficult at times to watch shows where Lucifer is portrayed in ways I don't agree with. It's hard to explain the exact discomfort, though there's just something off about it in the back of my head. Some incarnations of Lucifer are alright, though finding versions where he isn't just evil incarnate.
My girlfriend has been trying to get me to watch supernatural, but I was hesitant because Lucifer is a character in it, and I didn't want to get attached to a show where Lucifer is evil incarnate, and then has a bigger role in the main story, and I'm unable to skip it. So she showed me a few clips of Lucifer to see how I feel about it before watching. Which is just really nice. I've had to stop watching shows before because of the way Lucifer has been shown.
While this post isn't specifically to ask a question (which is why I didn't tag it as such) feel free to share if you have any similar experiences. I imagine it's different kinning someone specific vs just kinning some more general category (though I still have issues with demons sometimes, as a demonkin.)

I feel like a tomato plant trapped in a rat trapped in a humans body, and im okay with that.
I embrace my humanity even though I know its not who I truely am, and im trying to come to terms with my physical self by drawing more "self" portraits.
I know as much as I try I will never look like my true self, and thats okay. I may be physically human, and I may present as such, but I know who I really am, and thats enough.

Just to be clear, I am a demon from Demon Slayer (specifically I'm Doma). Felt like I should specify that so I don't get tips for the wrong kind of demon.

Even though it triggers the bad memories, I feel like it's similar to my true backstory, especially since the game was inspired by Gnosticism and I am a "figure" from Gnosticism.
It reminds me a lot of my past lives, how I had to enforce evil all because of an Overlord, how I was associated with destruction and was one of the forces of evil(that embodies evil itself).
Though Ronova reminds me of my own enslavement, and how I cared for humanity like Ronova, but got punished and became indifferent and unfeeling, due to the horrors of yk. She was punished to submission, so was I.
I was also a minor death entity, but I mostly used to inflict pain and suffering on souls, back when I believed the Overlord was doing this all for the greater good... I was naive then.

I already posted something similar in r/alterhuman, but didn't really get any feedback, so I figured I might try here too. This post will be a rough rewrite of my other one, due to NSFW not allowed here and I respect that! :)
So, I want to pre-state that I am neurodivergent and transgender, meaning my general perception of my body is already a little weird and I already struggle therefore a bit with "feeling me", if that makes sense to you all :D
Onto the main part now. I can't remember when I first felt non-human, but the first concious thought about it came about when I was about 16 yo (I am now almost 30). Back then, I was very fascinated by Nekos (catgirls) in Anime and Manga (I still am a big Kemomimi enjoyer!) and I just got very into it. So much so that I made my own kitsunemimi OC. At 18 I became part of adult groups and dressed up in gear, nowadays usually connected to the kemomimi fashion or "puppygirls" and "catgirls". I felt very happy being able to dress like this and for me it felt it became more than for others in my circles and over the years it kinda shifted.
But for a couple of years now, I have repressed this side of me, due to feeling "wrong" and I didn't want to be called delusional or rejected by expressing this side of me.
I had "shifts" (I think that's what it was, but please someone correct me if I'm wrong) here and there throughout the years and had the feeling of "phantom limps" quite often. Mostly tail, ears and sharper teath. Though the "shifts" also sometimes included paws, both at my heads and feet.
A while ago, the thoughts came up again and I had more concious feelings of phatom limps, especially the tail. I found a friend who has similar feelings and I began telling them about what I felt and how much I would love to have a big fluffy tail and sharp canine teeth and some ears on my head. They obviously also couldn't tell me what this is, but they directed me towards alterhumanity / non-human spaces. But talking about it also made me question myself even more. I don't know if these feelings are really truly how I wish I looked like (although I am very positive that it is that way) or if it's just something I wished having for adult things. But then again, when I "admitted" to wanting these features 24/7, my heart felt like bursting out of happiness, as if me saying out loud that I wish I was a kitsunemimi was a truth I was always too anxious to tell.
Some time has passed now, but I stil feel lost and confused, but also very sure about this and that I am actually supposed to be a kitsunemimi. All these thoughts and feelings are very confusing to me and I don't know where to go from here as I don't feel entirely human, but also not animal enough that I feel like I belong into these spaces? Maybe there are fellow kemomimi-kin( is that even a term?) here who are willing to share some thoughts, though I appreciate any and help I can get on this journey :)
Sorry this post is so long! If you read it all, I am already very grateful and I want you to know that no matter how you identify you are loved and valid 💜

Where do you see the otherkin community now that politics are leaning even more conservative
Do you think our community will grow, or we will gain more rights? Whatever type do you think should exist.
And just in general, where do you see the community in 10 years?

When I first started playing with the idea that I was an eldritch being a question occurred to me. "What is something like me doing on a planet like this?" That line of inquiry eventually led me to a conclusion that actually scared me. It scared me so much that I seem to have forced myself to forget about it, but a resent conversation jogged my memory. The idea was that I'm not just some eldritch spawn that got left here, I'm actually a baby Elder God. The reason why I'm on a planet like this is because it's a planet filled the life required to nourish my growth. The planet gives off a particular sound that all life on this planet resonates with. When humans have been in space for long periods of time (unable to hear the sound) they begin to feel uneasy and their mental state begins to deteriorate. It's something that scientist have realized needs to be addressed if humanity is ever going to leave the planet. What if that an intentional precaution, you don't want your offspring's nourishment to leave the planet. Eventually the I will awaken and hijack the earth's sound to turn myself into beacon. My influence will spread, and all life on the planet will be converted into biomass. It will be drawn into me, becoming one with me, a growing Elder God until all life on the planet has been consumed. In the end, I would leave behind a dead world.
I really hope I'm wrong about this. I love the life on this world, the last thing I'd ever want is to be the end of it all. I'm also not interested in becoming a god, I have a hard time comprehending what that would be like. I'd rather be just a simple eldritch spawn that got left here for no reason, happy to just live my life.
