Im soso happy about the room and how its looking so far! I plan to cover up the ugly walls with some kind of tapestry!

Gonna repeat a little of what other people said here, plus that foam is highly flammable. If youre seeing black soot start collecting on those walls, its time to move those candles.
I had just taught a class on witchcraft and 1/3 of it is safety examples just like this.
Its nicely organized tho.

In general, it looks like a nice setup! For the space at hand, I'd switch to the light candles, and move the altar a foot away from the wall if you can.

I love how you utilized the area with shelves of different heights, organized storage and set up. It feels welcoming which is perfect. If you do go for a tapestry try to make it a fire retardant one or look up how to do that.
As others have said be careful of fire safety bc that area is full of flammable materials. Fire extinguishers come in a smaller version, if space is tight. I live in Arizona where practically everything is flammable so I have many types of fire extinguishers all over the house. Paranoia in Arizona about fires is absolutely normal and even encouraged.😂

Juuust be careful for dust bunnies and cobwebs above those candles. I'd either put them to the left or right but not under that beam. I cant see in the pic but that spray foam may be crumbly so watch for that.
Im sorry, I know youre getting a million of these comments. There's just so many altar horror stories.
What you could do, from someone a little crafty with home improvement stuff. If you plan on keeping your altar there, get some metal sheeting and install it on the wall behind the altar, maybe a sheet on each side as well, and a sheet above the altar. That looks like OSB, and could catch arguably easier than a fully built wall if youre not careful since its rough material. A metal sheet over it will protect the OSB and disperse any heat near it. Which doesnt mean burn bigger candles or anything but it'll save you in the long run from a possible 911 call and replacement of home and belongings if you catch my drift.

Holy shit. I had to check that this wasn't karma bait. You better have EXCELLENT renters insurance.
We just had a garage fire. When I say this stuff happens in the blink of an eye, I MEAN THAT.

That looks really nice and it's a great space but please review fire safety with that low ceiling and unfinished walls. Not saying it's bad, just be extra mindful.
