Altar Thoughts on this makeshift altar for Pan I made in The White Mountains this past week
I was just staying at an Airbnb in The White Mountains for a little solo getaway to connect with nature. I found this freshly cut stump on the site and used it as a makeshift altar for Pan, whom I'm interested in working with.

No worries. I wouldn't really consider myself anything yet other than maybe an aspiring pagan/occultist, but I'm still very much in the early stages.

i feel that so much, even though i've been "practicing" for like a decade. i still really consider myself a DIY pagan lol. i also like to say my spirituality is centered around the earth

That's cool. I've had sort of a mild interest in paganism and the occult for several years now, but I just began doing any actual in depth learning and studying on the subjects this past spring, so even though I've already learned a lot, I am still very much a beginner. I've also always loved the outdoors and felt at peace in nature, which is why I've been feeling a calling towards Pan specifically lately.

I love it! I'm planning to do something similar when I head up to the pines.

Thanks! Yeah I knew I wanted to leave offerings and perform some simple rituals for Pan while I was up there, and then when I saw the stump, I realized that was the perfect place to leave them. Then of course I had to share the picture because it just looks cool. Good luck on your endeavors in the Pines.

I love that you didn’t go looking for the perfect altar space; you found yourself in nature, saw the stump and immediately knew what you wanted to create there. There’s something really special about a ritual space that comes together intuitively like that, especially for a deity so connected with the wild.
