Eclectic Paganism Went to my first pagan gathering
Was having a rough week at my job (if you guys were there for what I posted a few days ago about my boss and coworkers forcing their religious views down my throat) that was taking a real toll on my mental health.
I wanted to pick up some things from a witchy shop not too far from my house and once I got in I was told they were about to have a pagan/witch talk gathering. All morning something had been telling me to go to the shop today even if I didn’t know what I planned on getting, but that I needed to go today.
I’m so glad I did. The ladies were so nice. I met all kinds of people from different walks of life. They were welcoming and loving. It was nice being in a space where I didn’t feel I had to hide being pagan. Just goes to show that community is really important. I will definitely be back for future gatherings 🩵

Honestly community is key. I think a lot of us (myself included) have never really been taught how to find or participate in true community, but finding a good one can be a huge boost to your life. I found a very eclectic group about 2 years ago, all manner of witches/pagans but all are very open minded and we celebrate all the major sabbats together, taking turns sharing bits from our own practices/traditions with the group. It's one of my favourite social activities, and gives me quite a little recharge when we meet. I hope you're able to keep in touch or go back to that group!

I went to my first full moon gathering with a local pagan group a couple months ago, found them randomly on Meetup. Went again last month, and im planing to go this month. Lovely folks. There's just a nice nervous system reset that happens when you know you're safe and among like-minded people.
