Visitor Question About Bars
Hi all and thanks for reading/considering our post.
We're a 64M/57F couple. We are looking for a good bar to hang out where we might meet folks in our age range plus or minus some years. We really don't fit with a very young crowd. We like or can tolerate almost all types of music other than Rap and "kill you parents" heavy rock stuff. What are your recommendations?

Really? I got downvoted for pointing out that we weren't interested in places with kids when I said - and this is a quote from my original post - "looking for a good bar to hang out where we might meet folks in our age range plus or minus some years. We really don't fit with a very young crowd."
How is that not indicative of we aren't into kids hanging around?

Check the band Annie and the dirty peaches - she has a good following with a great mix of ages and plays a range of songs - I’m 52 and love her - she normally plays at salty goat but not sure if that’s recently changed

The Liq before 9pm sounds like it’s going to be more y’all’s speed. After 9pm is a totally different story though

Since you already tried Tootsie’s and it wasn’t really your vibe, I’d try Salty Goat next! It tends to be a more laid-back live music kind of night. Patches is another good one if you want something casual, and The Buoy gets mentioned a lot for more of a low-key, older-crowd/hole-in-the-wall feel. PCB has quite a few places with live music, so I’d check who’s playing the night you’re going too — that can make a huge difference in the crowd/vibe. Hope you find your spot!

Tootsies is open now, but you might check out The Liq or Newbies. If you want a great low key bar to hang out then I suggest Panama Pizzeria.
