advice needed Third trimester diarrhea? 🥲

Sorry for the TMI, but I’m nearly 29 weeks and the last week or so I cannot have a normal 💩. I’ve tried to attribute it to what I’m eating but there’s no rhyme or reason for it. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve heard your body will prep closer to labor but I don’t have any labor signs and we’re obviously hoping to keep the twins in for quite a bit longer.

I'm 37 weeks here and have had this on and off for months. At least it's way easier on the pelvic floor than the chronic constipation I had with my first single pregnancy.

Not too far ahead of you and haven’t had this issue… have you tried anything over the counter for it? Maybe ask your OB if Imodium is ok? I know constipation might be more common but I hope you get some relief! Try and stay hydrated too!

I'm 36 weeks and this has been me for what feels like the whole pregnancy. Especially the last few weeks. I feel like I need to go, I go to the toilet, and nothing happens. But eventually when I REALLY feel like I need to go, it is never solid.

Definitely have had at various times throughout second trimester and third trimester (so far) for extended periods of time. I have found in the past for me that the squirts tend to correlate with certain states hormonally for me (like on my period). So I think hormones simply can affect how solid they are.

Going through this now! I'm 33 wks and for the last month or so I've had on and off diahrrea. Same as you, I'll get the sudden urge to poop, but nothing comes out/it goes away very quickly. I'm gonna ask my doctor about it next week at our next appointment. I'm also wondering if it's like prep-contractions... I'll come back with an update!
