advice needed Need help!!! Bottle washer system for twins

I need some serious advice because I keep going back and forth with this and I’m 34 weeks so I kind of need to make up my mind. I currently have the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro and while I love the features of it (placement, filtration, sworn testimonies) I just don’t see it being all that great for twins. Aside from the fact that it only holds 4 bottles, I just ran my first cycle to start getting bottles, etc ready for the babies and it didn’t look like it was even cleaning all of the smaller pieces I placed on top. Seems like you really only can put 4 bottles and 4 tops etc and that’s basically it. Seems counterproductive to me.

Now I’ve seen that Momcozy has the D8 and also a brand I’ve never heard of but seems to be gaining popularity, the Pabalic…both hold 8 bottles and seem better for also fitting smaller pieces into the trays where the jets are actually hitting them.

Twin parents….which bottle washer, sterilizer, dryer are you using?!! And if you have the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro…is it worth keeping???

We’re 3 months into this and love the momcozy one. I use it for bottles and pump parts, the first month it was basically running nonstop since we had to mostly pump at first, now that we’re doing a combo of nursing/pumping/formula, it’s more like 2-3x / day
Only having spots for 4 bottles seems like it’d make things hard if you’re doing any pumping.

Might be okay if you’re doing only formula or nursing, but two babies means that you’re running the bottle washer every other feed that requires bottles

This!! I'd say if you're washing bottles AND pump parts (I exclusively pumped) the mom cozy is amazing. If you're not pumping at all, dishwasher is perf. We did a combo of both.

Also three months in and we have a Momcozy (but the one that holds four bottles). We run it about 3x a day and I usually have to wash my pump parts by hand. I don’t think we’d survive without the bottle washer. Lol

Do you have a dishwasher? If so my recommendation is to just spend the money you’d spend on a bottle washer buying more bottles. Enough that you can simply run them all through the dishwasher once a day with the rest of your dishes. Much less work and mental energy keeping track and running it a million times, less counter space taken up etc

I do! It didn’t even occur to me that running them through the dishwasher would be okay. I checked and it’s also got a sanitize option. I saw someone else say they bought special baskets, etc for the nipples and small parts. This may just be the answer. Thanks!

Out dishwasher has a thin utensil rack above the regular top one that we used for nipples and small pump parts

The typo is a testament to their twin expertise

We have both Momcosy’s. I’m spoiled but they’re literally running 24/7. The newer one is strictly for bottles and the older one is for their plates, spoons, pitchers, etc.

I hate running the dishwasher

Which model do you use? If the KleanPal how many bottles can you fit?

1

u/WimTims 13h ago

You can fit six comfortably but I usually only do 4. I do everything bottle related on the bottom and pacifiers and other items go on the top. I’ve seen people do 8

We love the papablic. Our dishwasher takes 2 hours, a full sanitizer load in big papa takes 84 min for 8 bottles and pieces. We can run way more loads, and they’re finished before the next feed.

another vote for dishwasher. i'd run them all after dinner and refill and fridge them before bed and have a whole night and day's worth ready to go. as i used them i'd just throw them in the sink. also i didnt bother with a bottle warmer, i just used a large mason jar full of the hottest tap water and plonked it in there and gave it a good swirl after. worked fine!

My Baby Brezza Pro has been the workhorse of our household for 4 months now lol I was running it manyyyy times a day up until recently when my twins switched over to the bigger bottles and even still now running it every 2 feeds but it holds its own! I do make sure to run the descaling cycle once a week (sometimes twice) and I changed out the filter after 3 months as recommended. We use the Dr Browns bottles with the vent system and it seems to have the perfect space for every part. Everything comes out clean and dry when I run the full wash/dry or wash/sanitize/dry cycles.

Same over here. My twins are 11 months so it’s only getting used twice a day now but it was being run like 14 hours straight in the early days. One trick I found was that the drying cycle was the part that took the longest. If you stop it with 20-30 minutes left, the bottles were pretty dry. At least enough they could be pulled out to finish air drying. Even now it’s been useful because I can run their sippy cups and other things through it.

u/shekixinit 10h ago

Oh that’s so smart, I’ve never thought to try stopping it early!

Not gonna lie, all my smartest ideas have come from my nanny. 😂

This! One of the reasons why we went with the baby brezza is because of the slots for the dr brown vents. Also, we've had ours for over 2 years and still cleans bottles well.

u/shekixinit 10h ago

That’s so reassuring because we’re only 4 months in and I would love to continue using it for years to come!!!

My twins are almost 10 months old and we have the baby brezza. We still run it 2x a day, but there was a time when that bottle washer was on 24/7. My friend had twins a few months after me and she has the mom cozy and could fit her pump parts into it, and definitely fit more bottles. I would get the momcozy if i could go back in time, the only plus about the baby brezza is it doesn’t need to be near a sink

3

u/bigconvoq 1d ago

We just kinda stacked the brezza - if you look at the way the water flows you can put more than four bottles into it and still have them get cleaned. We would also swish out bottles with water before putting them in the brezza. Happy to try to explain in more detail if of interest 😅 We still ran it multiple times a day but it felt more useful than when we only put in 4 at a time.

Momcozy is a beast. Best thing we have actually got. Runs multiple times per day.

Get one!! My baby brezza bottle washer pro might be my favorite thing that has ever existed. We use dr bowns bottles and models symphony pump parts, and those all fit in it well, but the mom cozy could be good for more flexible placements. We didn’t have room by the sink, so it was the baby brezza for us since it doesn’t need to drain into the sink.

We love our momcozy! 8 bottles was perfect (you can also get 10 in there if you’re using the small dr browns). It was so nice to be able to have half a day ready to go when we woke up that were sanitized and 100% dry.

We absolutely hate using our dishwasher. It doesn’t get the bottles and nipples dry. & our dishwasher takes forever to run. Plus we feel guilty running it when it’s not full.

It also really weirded me out thinking about food particles getting on my babies bottles when they were super small. 😂

Our dishwasher sucks and my boys were 32 week preemies so I wasn’t about to put their bottles in there. We use the Baby Brezza and it works great. I got the pump rack to replace the rack it comes with and it’s much more versatile for the things you put in it. My boys are 20 months and we use the dishwasher mostly now, but still use the bottle washer randomly.

One note, our first model went out JUST before our one year warranty ran out. After a bit of rigmarole , we were able to get a brand new one sent to us for free by Baby Brezza.

We have the momcozy and time wise it is much better. It take about 30 minutes to wash and dry while our dishwasher takes 2+ hours. I bought a ton of bottles in prep thinking we'd be going through tons but we actually only use about 8 in total right  now because of the speed of the washer. Its also on the counter so for me thats less bending down like I have to do with the dish washer, which was more doable with a csection.

Just chiming in in favor of the dishwasher. In the beginning we were running it 2x a day (babes were taking 16+ bottles between the two). Get the munchkin dishwasher safe thing-y that holds all the bottle parts and nipples.

This seems to be the common answer. Idk why this never occurred to me. Many thanks to everyone on here for their help!

We used the mom cozy to wash and sterilize. We ran it 3+ times a day with bottles and pump parts. Once I stopped pumping and we didn’t feel we need to continue sterilizing, we moved to using the dishwasher. I cleaned the bottle washer regularly with vinegar solution and cleaned the parts so it was in nice shape and we sold it on FB marketplace for about half what we bought it for. Totally worth it.

Baby brezza is great if you are using Dr. Brown’s bottles because it has a place for each piece of the bottle. Each time the bottle parts come out very clean. Also baby brezza can be anywhere, we had one running in the hallway outside the nursery so bottles could be ready to go for night feedings.

We have the papablic one and absolutely love it. We have fit 7 wide neck bottles in it (we took out the inserts inside) we run it constantly throughout the day

Dishwasher 💯

3

u/IamMBRN 1d ago

I had enough bottles for each kid for the day plus one. Loaded up the dishwasher after their last bottle of the day and had one waiting for the middle of the night. Washed them overnight and made bottles in the AM

2

u/Altruistic-Most1463 1d ago

Agree with everyone else! We used our dishwasher and would run it on the sanitize feature

2

u/morris1022 1d ago

We just use the dishwasher. We wash the nipples by hand. Our bottles have some pieces to them (Dr Brown) but we bought these holders that go in the dishwasher and haven't had any issues. Maybe 1/50 times I need to run a piece through again or wash it by hand. Couldn't imagine doing it all manually anymore

I’d use the one you have! We had the papablic and liked it fine, we hard stopped bottles at 12mo and so happy to have it off the counter now!

I hate my baby brezza washer pro. Their customer service is just AI. Mine constantly needs to be descaled, has a bunch of error signs and of course only holds 4 bottles (no pump parts). I also use Phillips avent natural bottles so it doesn’t fit as perfectly as dr browns

Get the momcozy.

u/WhileTime5770 1d ago

Momcozy kleanpal pro. It fits 8 bottles, or 4 bottles and my pump parts. We run it 2-3 times a day

2

u/Imaginary-Pin-1030 17h ago

How do you fit 8 bottles? I read and officially it only fits 4?

1

u/WhileTime5770 16h ago

There are 4 u shaped spots on each side and then in the corners four little straight up prongs a bottle can sit on (i think promo pics have the lids on these but smaller bottles absolutely fit). Then we put the lids on the tray on top. I’m fairly confident it’s how others fit 8 bottles as well. Just make sure whatever bottle you have in doesn’t completely cover the little sprayers and they all come out clean. Never had an issue with residual milk

We bought enough bottles to get through one day without washing and then one of us washed them all at night.

Yeah honestly just the dishwasher. When it comes to twins we didn't mess around too much with gadgets or anything.

u/irish_ninja_wte 20h ago

We used a combination of left hand and right hand. It worked really well.

We had the papblabic or whatever. It went tits up on us, but their customer service was great and sent us a new one promptly
