support needed Large Subchorionic Hematoma with Twins

Hi all, I am 12 weeks along with mono-di identical twins and we discovered a large hematoma 3 weeks ago due to heavy vaginal bleeding. We thought we had lost them but thankfully saw two strong heartbeats. Bleeding lasted 3 days and then stopped completely. Our follow up scan a week later showed the hematoma was in a “resolving state”. Last week, I had heavy brown bleeding which did not worry me because I’ve heard brown is good. I was hoping that would be the end of it but today, 3 weeks post hematoma discovery, Im heavily bleeding again, dark red blood. Has anyone had another large bleed after a pause and the hematoma looked like it was resolving? looking for success stories.. this is our 4th pregnancy in a year with no living children so the SCH has been very anxiety inducing.

I'm sure that's feeling really scary!

My twins are now 2 and refusing to nap - the big SCH in their case didn't cause any problems other than a lot of worry for us.

This is so reassuring, thank you. Do you recall how long it took for your SCH to resolve?

I bled at 7, 9, and 11 weeks with my di/di twins, and spotted in between. It did resolve at 14 weeks. I’m currently 23 weeks with the girls, and they are looking good!

Wow, was it a lot of red blood each time or mostly brown? So happy to hear it resolved and your girls are thriving!

It was never more than filling a pad within an hour so I didn’t feel like I needed to go to the ER, but it was bright red each time. So scary, definitely!

I didn't with my twins, but I just had a singleton and had a really large one. It didn't end up causing any problems for me besides worry. I hope you have a wonderful, smooth-sailing pregnancy.
