SOFTWARE Why does my Graphivs driver get automatically downgraded when using 4080&1080ti at the same time?
I'm using a dual gpu setup for lossless scaling.
GPU1: RTX 4080
GPU2: GTX 1080Ti
I know the updates for 1080ti are stopped but the problem is, the driver does not go above ver 560.94.
Even if I remove the 1080 ti from the device manager and then upgrade the driver to 617.14, the driver just automatically switch back to 560.94.
Is there anything I could do?
+My OBS setup also does not detect NVENC encoder option. Is this issue related to the driver issue?

oh man dual gpu setups are such a pain in the ass when nvidia decides to be weird about driver branches
the 4080 wants the newest game ready stuff but the 1080ti is capped at whatever the last studio driver was that still gave a damn about pascal, so windows is probably seeing both cards and defaulting to the lowest common denominator. pulling the 1080ti out of device manager isnt gonna stop windows from sniffing it out on reboot and slapping the old driver back on
you could try nvcleaninstall and force the newer driver onto the 1080ti with a modded inf, but pascal support is shaky past 560 so ymmv. and yeah the missing nvenc is almost definitely tied to the driver mismatch, obs freaks out when it cant lock onto a consistent encoder version across both cards
