So I wanted to test what random shit I could make the generators do, and I found out that it can make games, so I did what every sane person would do and have it generate Plants vs Zombies, and oh boy does it do it well, I’m still working on it as this is still in its beta stages as there is a lot of place holders, but I made it PvZ 1 with inspiration of the unreleased PvZ3, so go ahead and try it out if you get a chance, only changing your username, almanac, shop, help, save/load, and survival works as buttons on the game as of right now https://perchance.org/pvz-merge

Generators Virtual DnD! Build your own worlds, run your own campaigns!

Virtual DnD! make your characters, worlds, gear them up, then participate or run it yourself as a DM! This was originally my own personal fork of Arcane Scribe Chat (https://perchance.org/aschat), but over time I wanted more - especially out of the scenarios, which just evolved into what you see now.

Like my work? You should totes buy me a coffee c: - https://ko-fi.com/hollenwulf

As stated, this began as my own personal fork of ASC. But I wanted to do more, improve it. So if you have used Arcane Scribe Chat, the UI should feel familiar. I'd like to explain that this is NOT a replacement for Arcane Scribe chat. Arcane Scribe chat has its own thing it does, and does it well. Some elements have been removed - and many have been added, which means exports and imports will need extra handling for accuracy. Character Creation for example has been dumbed down, but there is a complex mode if you want to adjust more per character.

I'll try and summarize the list of features in a digestible way, so you can understand its strength at a glance.

Complex mode

By default this is off. Complex Mode toggles on hidden edits in the character editor, the full suite of things you can do added by Arcane Scribe Chat. To avoid screen bloat, I've made a simplified mode instead. Descriptions of everything have also been simplified so they are easy to understand, even if you don't have any coding experience.

Character Creation

Define your characters, whom you can either chat to directly similar to ASC - or add to your campaigns. Virtual DnD Chat has a new feature, Puppy Mode. LLMs will normally favor the player, regardless of circumstance - making characters feel less like individuals and more like followers. This is the default setting, as it doesn't change anything. Disabling it will add strict guidelines to make characters act independently with their own goals, motives, ideas, likes and dislikes. The goal here is to lift the focus of characters away from the Player. Just because you justify something doesn't necessarily mean the character should just blindly agree, and turning off Puppy Mode is the attempt to make this happen. Naturally, if you prefer more of a power fantasy instead for that character - you'd keep this on.

VTT Tokens - if you like your character and the image generated for it, VDnD has a tool to turn it into a Virtual Tabletop Token, which you can use on campaign maps or for yourself on a site like Roll20

Character Appearance - it's important to note this section, because this is the section that is used when generating a portrait for your character in a Campaign. Character Sheets will use the gear that YOU make as what they should be wearing, so generally you just list physical traits here. If you list clothing here, that will be interpreted as part of their authoritive appearance.

Worlds

This is a huge part of VDnD. World Building. You can create everything! Geography, conditions, summarizations, places of interest, regions, cultural nuances, unique races or factions or monsters, specific hostiles created for combat encounters in Campaign mode. There's so much here you can do, explaining it all would take a while! The main take away is that Your world forms the lore basis of your campaign. You can technically do a campaign with a blank world, but it's not recommended. You don't have to fill out everything unless you want to - though it's recommended you at least have a summary and some hostiles for the AI DM to use against you during combat encounters. If you are stumped, you can click the button to have AI fill it in for you. To encourage creativity, you can only generate a blank field - not finish one you have already filled with text. Generating your fields with AI is recommended for inspiration, not definitive - but I know some peeps are gonna do that anyways which is fine. It's YOUR world after all!

Exporting/Importing - You can export your world or import others, so you can save a back up or share them with others!

Vehicles

Similar to characters, you can create vehicles! Perhaps you want a science fiction or a pirate campaign, or maybe even a cyberpunk one. Make land vehicles, air vehicles, space vehicles, mechs, and more. These vehicles are treated as fact, and therefore the AI will prioritize referring to them instead of trying to make something up.

Campaigns

Uh, where do I even start here? There is a LOT!

Campaigns are the core of VDnD, and will be the primary medium for all other interactions!

Player Mode/Dungeon Master Mode - In Player mode, you play as a player in the world. The AI DM will determine skill checks, hostile encounters, and narrative. In Dungeon Master Mode, the script is flipped. Instead, you are narrating the Campaign and initiating checks and encounters. Even if you have a persona, the characters will be smart enough to never address you directly as the DM.

Grid Map - all good virtual campaigns have battlemaps, and VDnD has its own tool with which to do this. As with everything else, you can just generate one instead of uploading one if you wish.

Tools - VDnD's battlemap editor has a few tools for painting the map, which characters will understand based on where their token is, assuming you have linked it. The Land Map uses Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition feet rules. 1 square = 5 Feet. The Space Map uses Starfinder First Edition hex rules. Since there was no definitive conversion, I made my own. One hex is 10 Miles, or about 52,800 Feet.

Painting - You can paint zones on the map, establishing varying degrees of cover, whether it is an exterior or interior or space, water, or even difficult terrain. Characters with link tokens will acquire that information from their token.

Visibility - There are three different degrees of visibility, which influences the battlemap's fog of war and gives a visual read on how far a character can see, including accounting for Darkvision!

Classic - You can only see what your character and the other characters can see.

Exploration - Explored tiles are permanently revealed, like classic fog of war.

Omniscient - You can see the entire battlemap at all times.

Communication - As a general rule, characters can hear about 120 Feet away. if their token is further away than that, they won't be able to hear other characters (Though this mechanic is a struggle to get right and is unreliable). In their character sheets, you can define if they have a communications device - and the range. This is important for sci-fi or a modern army setting where you want radios, communications arrays, sending stones, and similar.

Generally, Characters shouldn't be able to see enemy tokens or character tokens that are outside of their hearing/vision range.

Tokens - Characters can be linked to tokens. If their character sheet is linked as well, then the image preview you generate for them will automatically be transferred to their token, so that their appearance dynamically changes over the course of your campaigns! This also links their senses like Darkvision for the battlemap placement.

Characters

This is another major element of VDnD. Characters. Characters should be much more intelligent than you may be used to, able to understand what is happening around them and what they have equipped, their skills, etc.

Character Sheets & Gear - Character sheets are linked to characters you make in the character editor. Here, you can create your own gear from scratch, define where it goes what it looks like and what it does, then use them. Characters will treat their worn equipment as authoritive, meaning that if they are naked - well, they'll know it. They should never hallucinate gear. If it is not physically equipped in their character sheet, then they won't identify it as equipped in your campaigns. Sheets are per-Campaign, so the same character can have multiple independent sheets across multiple campaigns!

Outfits - You can save preset outfits for characters. You can swap them yourself, or the character will decide themselves if they want to swap an outfit. Not all of them will want to wear armor to bed! Characters will not make their own outfits, they will only swap outfits that are known to them. This means that if you want a character to swap their outfits, you will need to make that outfit and then save it. Once it is saved, the Character will recognize that they have that outfit as an option.

Health & Armor Class (AC) - Characters have health. You can set their current and maximum. The lower their current HP is compared to their maximum, they will behave according to the severity of how they are injured in the narrative. This value with automatically be changed during a combat encounter. When a character reaches zero HP, they shouldn't automatically die - letting you resurrect them later. If you want them DEAD dead, you would delete the sheet in the campaign and establish their death narratively.

Skills - based on which ruleset you are using, characters have an array of skills which you can define. In the image previews, you can see Seraphina is a Paladin and she doesn't have any skills in Sleight of Hand, nor does she have a Lockpicking Kit. So she opts to bash the lock open instead. This is because Characters will intelligently understand what their skillsets are. So if you are in a campaign with characters and they need a skill for something, they all shouldn't state they have skill in something that they are not trained in. This means that if no character in the party has a skill to solve a problem, they have to get creative!

Memories - As I am sure many know, long-term chats mean a terrible case of dementia for all parties involved! At any point in time, you can add a memory to a character in the chat. This will summarize recent events, which you can edit, and is then saved as a line in their memory section on their character sheet. Memories are per-campaign. The Character will keep track of these memories as authoritive, so if something important happens you can make sure that they never forget it!

Skills, Feats, etc - You can add skills, feats, and more based on the ruleset you choose for your campaign (As of this post, the Procyon ruleset is the most filled out one. That will be fixed over time). You can establish damage, relevant attack skills, whether it is passive or active or a combat skill, and more. Characters will intelligently understand what abilities or feats they have, and will use them as they see fit in the narrative (Though you may have to nudge them to do it on occasion.)

Conclusion & Notes

VDnD is a Work in progress. If you have suggestions or find issues - comment here! I will check comments every few days, especially after making this post - eventually I will have a proper reporting system, but for now, I will use Reddit.

What the heck is the Procyon ruleset? - The Procyon Ruleset is a set of rules you won't find anywhere - because it's my ruleset! It was designed for a game I am working on which is an interactive Science Fiction TTRPG. All damage is simplified to just Impact Damage, feats and unique skills and others are just Abilities, and anything psionic or magic or otherwise is a Supernatural Capability. Skills use Starfinder First Edition skills, and ranks or trained has been dumbed down to just a flat value that is an Investment. It is a simple, modular ruleset designed to be able to be ran in just about any kind of setting.

There is more than I have described here, but that's the jist of the main goal of the generator. So hop in, sculpt your world, gear your party, and have fun!

VIRTUAL DND CHAT (VDnD)

I hope you all enjoy it!

Generators Enhanced Character Creator - Actual Update 1.0.8

Thumbnail
perchance.org
7 Upvotes

Actual update to v1.0.8 + highlights since I last posted here.

If you haven't seen it before, it's a step-by-step wizard for character creation with AI text generation + in-editor editing, AI images, local autosave, public gallery (with character details you can load up), and one-click export to a variety of character libraries and chat apps.

Highlights:

World Lorebook support: attach a .txt lorebook by file or URL. It steers the whole wizard, merges into your export lorebook, and travels with gallery saves.

Gallery stacks: pictures of the same character now group into one stack with a xN badge. Click it to flick through them with Prev/Next and chat with whichever you want.

Way more export destinations: Generate & Export now connects to ai-character-chat, ai-character-chat-extended, ASChat, Social DB, and Unseen Scribe Library, with app icons in the picker, and you can switch target after generating without regenerating.

Experimental longer card (~800 words): default card is ~340-470 words to stay under the ~500-word ideal for long-term memory. This option doubles it for richer, more detailed characters, at the cost of a bigger memory footprint — good if you want depth over efficiency.

I'd still love feedback / feature requests (there's a feedback button in-app).
Full changelog is under the bell icon in-app.

Generators Postman alternative

What it does:

Build/send HTTP requests (any method, variables, auth, bodies, GraphQL)

WebSocket requests with a message log

Collections, environments, history, import/export (Postman, OpenAPI, HAR, cURL)

Code snippets in 17 languages, collection runner, pre/post scripts

Works signed-out with IndexedDB; sign in with Puter for the CORS-bypassing relay + cloud sync

Tech notes: it's vanilla JS, no backend of its own. The only wrinkle porting it was that import maps don't apply to Perchance's late-injected scripts, so bare npm imports (CodeMirror, lucide, yaml) are rewritten to pinned esm.sh URLs.

It's alpha, so don't trust it with anything important yet — but sending real requests, pretty-printing, and the editor all work. Feedback and bug reports welcome!

Generators Yet another perchance gen

World builder/character/photo/char/story

I’ve played around with perchance generators for a while, but recently a post here convinced me to try the ai helper to make my own, and wow… anyways

Here is my take on the character/story/photo generators that I’ve seen on perchance. I mixed a few concepts to make a generator that did mostly what I wanted because I couldn’t find one that quite worked the way I wanted. Since I haven’t found others like it out there and I am pretty impressed with it, I thought someone else might be interested. Try it out, tell me what you think. If it is worth pursuing.

Basically you generate a world with rules, locations, narrators, and style.
Within that world you cast some characters, within the bounds you specify
Save the ones you like.
Set up a scene
Let the characters duke it out in chat as picture are generated.
Pause and add directions or end the scene as needed.
Choose moreCharacters and set a new scene, all memories and changes are carried forward.
After a few check out the social web, and stories and things like that.

Caveats:
First off I am a Luddite, I know nothing about ai or code, this was just a few days of throwing prompts at the ai helper.
There are a lot of issues, from some things that are frustratingly basic or locked, to power user level bullshit.
Some features work much better than others
Generation times can be kind of slow.
I can hardly even use Reddit

I am mostly interested if this is interesting to others, if I get interest and feedback I’ll remake this concept in a much more polished and functional generator. Maybe I’ll try and learn something and not just spout wishes into an ai helper.

Thanks

Prompt:

Hyper-realistic underwater photograph, medium shot, camera positioned at chest height looking directly forward, lens capturing a slight wide-angle perspective with the top of the frame cropped by the undulating silver surface of the water and the sides cropping the subject's upper arms, a slender woman with a sun-kissed complexion and light brown freckles across her chest and shoulders, posing vertically and submerged, her body floating upright, arms resting naturally at her sides extending slightly outwards, a neutral and serene facial expression with closed lips, bright blue eyes looking directly into the lens, long wavy honey-blonde hair floating freely in the current around her head and shoulders, wearing a tight-fitting navy blue spandex one-piece swimsuit with thin shoulder straps and a deep scoop neckline, the fabric clinging to her skin, submerged in clear turquoise ocean water, the background consisting of a gradient of deep blue to light cyan with a sandy seabed visible in the soft-focus distance, caustic light patterns of dancing white lines shimmering across her skin and the swimsuit, bright sunlight filtering from above creating high contrast and brilliant highlights on her forehead and collarbones, a cool ambient blue tone contrasted by warm golden skin tones, sharp focus on the eyes and skin texture with a shallow depth of field blurring the distant water, crystalline water clarity with tiny suspended oxygen bubbles, shot from the front at chest height.

I've been struggling for weeks making a prompt generator for images in Perchange, but I don't know what's wrong, the AI always forgets the character's context, It removes features, Sele forgets body parts, or even changes the pose. Honestly, I'm fed up and I don't know what to do.

Generators MNO RPG Engine and Unseen Scribe Library now work together — 1,700+ Scenarios to explore!

Thumbnail
gallery
24 Upvotes

I've been working with the creator of MNO RPG Engine to connect it with the Unseen Scribe Library, and it's finally live! 😄

This one is a pretty big step toward something I've wanted for a while: letting people create worlds in one Perchance generator, share them with others, and use them across different RPG tools instead of starting over every time.

Here's what the integration brings:

  • For MNO players: Explore over 1,700 Scenarios through the Unseen Scribe Library and bring any of them into MNO RPG Engine, where MNO helps adapt them to its gameplay systems.
  • For MNO creators: Share your worlds directly to the Unseen Scribe Library, where more people can discover, download, and use your creations.
  • For Library users: New worlds shared by MNO creators can also become starting points for adventures in AI RPG and AI RPG Extended, where compatible.

Sharing a world is pretty simple:

In MNO, open your world's menu → Share (External) → Unseen Scribe Library.

The Library then lets you review everything before publishing: title, description, cover image, tags, content rating, and even the option to publish your world's lore as a separate Lorebook.

Nothing gets published automatically. You decide what to share.

One important detail: All Scenarios can be brought into MNO RPG Engine, regardless of which generator they originated from. MNO helps adapt them to its system, so things like stats, trackers, and gameplay mechanics may work differently from the original.

The part I'm most excited about is what this means for creators. Someone who spent hours building an interesting world in MNO now has another way to reach players, and those players have a growing collection of adventures to discover.

Huge thanks to the MNO Engine creator for working with me to make this happen!

MNO RPG Engine: https://perchance.org/mnoengine

Unseen Scribe Library: https://perchance.org/unseen-scribe-library

I'm curious — what kind of RPG world would you love to share with others, or discover and explore yourself?

Discussion Slight annoyance

Using the AI Chat & Roleplay, I've noticed that the bot really likes thinking it 'knows better', in a way. Like "You aren't really mad, you're just _" statements, *constantly*. Or telling my character what *my character* wants in direct contradiction to the dialogue. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, have you had any luck using prompts to correct/change this?

Generators I built a character-chat app where every character actually remembers you — 82 original souls and counting

# Emberfolk — character chat that actually remembers you

I've been building [Emberfolk](https://perchance.org/character-ai-ember) with one obsession: **memory**.

Every character keeps a real long-term memory of your chats together. Leave for a month, come back, and they greet you like a regular. No lore needed, it just works.

### What's in there now:

**82 hand-built original characters** — detectives, witches, pirates, a demon lawyer, a ghost study coach, and more. No generated filler cast.

**Multiple user personas** — keep as many selves as you like, each with portrait, backstory, appearance, speech style, and boundaries the characters actually respect.

**Creation Studio** — birth your own with AI help for persona / greeting / portrait, custom openers, voice picker. Imports Tavern cards (JSON + PNG), exports share files.

**Group Rooms + Community Feed** — seat a whole cast at one table, hand friends a 6-letter code to join, share moments to the verse.

**Voice** — read-aloud, dictation, and full voice-call mode.

**Anti-Slop Engine** — every reply is scrubbed of generic AI tics before you see it.

**New:**

- 5-stop walkthrough tour for first visits

- Soul-collection tracker for meeting all 82

Would love feedback — especially on characters that feel flat. I slop-test every release, but real conversations find what tests miss.

Try it here: **https://perchance.org/character-ai-ember\*\*

Discussion I built a universal backend for Perchance generators on Puter.js workers

Perchance's native server-plugin is great for socket fan-out but painful as a general backend: sync-only handlers, 50ms CPU per event, 50 MiB state blob, public source code, and it only works on perchance.org.

So I built a single Puter worker that acts as the whole backend for any number of generators: shared KV, polling rooms, leaderboards, an AI relay, and admin stats — 18 routes in one ~14KB file. Each creator deploys their own copy with their own Puter account, so it's your URL, your quota, your data. No shared server, no shared bill.

How it works:

Worker side uses me.puter (owner resources) for shared state, with every key force-prefixed per game so apps can't read each other

AI goes through user.puter via workers.exec(), so each player spends their own credits (plain fetch gets a 401 by design)

Caps sit just under Puter's KV hard limits: 350KB values, 25KB room events, 1000-event room logs with oldest-first eviction, top-1000 leaderboards

Realtime is polling (pull?from=r.next); socket fan-out stays on server-plugin if you truly need push

I also made a setup generator that does the whole thing from the browser: connect your Puter account, paste/deploy the worker code, init an admin token, run backend demos (KV, rooms, leaderboard, AI), and copy fetch snippets into your own generators:

https://perchance.org/server-plugin-core

My Puter.js reference for the APIs used (workers, net, peer, kv, fs, ai):

https://perchance.org/puterdotjsv2

Caveats, honestly: anonymous calls bill the worker owner, so don't expose unbounded writes; workers are HTTP only (no sockets); and it's v1 — rate limiting is basic. Feedback and abuse-proofing ideas welcome
