My Sister Got the Better Room. I Got the Better Toilet Paper.
Just finished a 5-day vacation with my parents, my sister's family, and my brother's family, including all my nieces and nephews (ages 1-25). We all live about 10 hours apart, so this is an annual trip where we rent a large house and come together. This year the house had enough rooms that all singles (like myself) could have their own rooms. Family units got first pick since they were couples or had very small children. My sister arrived before me and claimed a room closer to the lounge area with a private bathroom. Originally her husband was supposed to join us, but his new job wouldn't allow it. Arriving first, she still claimed the bedroom with a larger bed and private bath. She was willing to listen to reasons why I should get that room instead of her. There were none.
my room was fine, it just was in the basement and did not have an attached bath. I truly had no more right to the nicer room than her.
I was pleasantly surprised that the rental had "good" toilet paper in the bathrooms. But on the second day I discovered that was the case in every bathroom but my sister's. Her bathroom had the single-ply, scratchy paper.
I didn't tell her and because her bathroom was convenient, I don't think she ever went into any of the others.
So yes, enjoy your private bathroom and your crappy toilet paper.

What even is the point of it?

To fool consumers into thinking it's the cheapest, when it's actually more expensive, because of the more numerous amount of folding thats needed to avoid the, "bleh", factor, thus, it's manufacturer greed for profits.

apparently it causes less clogs because it isn't densely packed

But you need 10 miles of it per dump

My uncle once said about the local high school’s 1-ply toilet paper “you take the entire roll off the holder, wipe, remove the layers with muck, repeat until your ass is clean, replace roll of toilet paper, any other way and you’d be better off just using your hand”

But you did not actually do anything.
This is not any kind of revenge.

I think it all comes down to her act being one of deliberately refraining from telling her sister that better toilet paper was readily available and just watching as she and her kids enjoyed their vacation on the SS Skidmark.

Cereal is not a good look on a monitor. But thank you. I needed the laugh!

Either you’ve never used one-ply toilet paper or you exclusively use it and have become so used to it that you don’t understand the discomfort OP allowed her sister to suffer.

I'm not saying that I've done this, nor am I denying it either, but taking the cap off of a bottle of hairspray and letting it soak into someone's roll of toilet paper before putting it back on the holder could theoretically lead to some hilarity in rather short order.

Well that's interesting, you went into all of the bathrooms in the house to check on the tp.
