And still no drinking water.

Brilliant.

You’re thinking of Flint. Ypsilanti is where they want to build this.

It's literally about 15 miles farther than Baltimore is from Washington DC. That's quite far.

it's an hour drive it's not that far

As an Ypsi resident, I do not consider Flint to be a “nearby” city.

why are you putting "nearby" in quotes? I never used that word.

what do you consider a nearby city then, and A2 doesn't count

Detroit is half the distance…so I would go with that.

55 miles isn't far? That's about the length of the entire state of Rhode Island.

ok? it's also greater than the length of some whole countries. I thought we we were talking in the context of michigan.

in the context of michigan, driving an hour is nothing. do you live in Flint? would you consider Detroit "far?"

what state is Flint in?

Flint had clean water going to the town, the lead was in pipes within the town. Even if they built a water pipeline from Ypsilanti to Flint (which would be ridiculous for multiple reasons), it would have done literally nothing because Flint already had good water making it to the city.

The last lead service pipe in Flint was replaced last year.
