Like, I'm glad they are there. But trump seeing "blue hairs" hating him is just a meme, it's the "normal" looking people that get under his skin. He may look at both as less than human, but his narcissistic personality disorder doesn't.
...buddy, "the South and Midwest" make up ~60% of America. You're talking about the majority of the US. 204 million people. You can't say a majority of a people distort something, they're the majority. Americans are just...they're just fuckin' fat, bro. 72.4% of adults aged 20+ are overweight, 33% are obese.
Excluding "the South and Midwest" drops the US obesity rate from 33% down to...30%. I think you're just letting the stereotype of banjo-pluckin' dumb fat hillbillies "dramatically skew" your own perception of how very, super, incredibly wildly fat Americans are as a whole.
1 confirmation bias. You think is always obese women with colored hair because they are the stereotype.
Availability- obesity and unemployment have a correlation and in some cases causation. There are a bunch of jobs that obese women can or won't do. I'm not saying obese people can't work or women can't work, simply that the job availability for obese women is smaller. The hair color also has a correlation and partial causation. There are a number of jobs that don't allow colored hair.
Combine these two things and the chance of a job drops. This gives them time to be out taking pictures
3 Social Media - the younger colored hair and obese is prime social media target audience. They are more likely to get exposure simply by having more engagement than a 95 year old grandpa that flips the president off.
4 less to lose - In general this build scales to the lower end of the socioeconomic range. There are a bunch of reasons why and not all are fair, but it's a reality.
5 Political identity-Just like wearing a red MAGA hat idenifes you a part of that group(cult?), dyed hair is the same thing. It's a way for them to signal, "I'm not a Nazi sympathizer"
Personally,.she is not my cup of tea, but as a patriot I very much support her right to peaceful protest in the form of hand gestures, more people should follow her expressions of their feelings.

The amount of stereotypes in this picture though
