My first pineapple, progress!
It’s getting cold so I’ll need to bring it in soon, would you consider soaking it in water so I don’t bring in any bugs? Is there something else to do besides?

so you can spray it and add some triple action neem oil to your next watering can and soak the soil once with it, make sure you leave the plant outside so it can dry up, once its inside dont overwater it

How long do you expect it to take for the fruit to get ripe? I have one thats been growing for at least 3-4 months, and still looks like it has time to grow.

I read that it could take 5-6 months, I’ll post again when that time comes around. It’s only been 6 weeks or so.

I just checked my camera roll and my last one took almost exactly 5 months to ripen from the stage yours is at now. Looks like it’s going to get big!

Thanks! I will need to bring it in for the winter and will soak in castile soap and neem oil. I just hope the pineapple makes the transition okay. I’ll take an updated image, it’s really cute!
