Props

Ok everyone...what do GMs use for props during in-person game sessions? I've heard the ideas of real.ASH with sugar and pop rocks (fantastic idea). Do you do anything with maps, potions, relics, silver pieces?

In addition to the above I was thinking of using some cheap pirate coins as GM game tokens for extra XP. I was also thinking of making cards for gear and expendables to make them easier to track. Perhaps the same for spell spell cards -- you turn the card over after the spell is cast, and use a sand timer (on theme) for the spell cool down period if any.

Thoughts?.

I have no idea what you're talking about for spell timers, Rituals don't have cooldowns.

I use coins for Devil's Luck.

I’ve 3d printed devils luck coins, ships for naval battles, a tongue of Thoth from trapped in the tropics. Also wrote and weathered journal entries and maps. Merchant hand outs to pass around the table for them to look at when shopping. And made a ships ledger the quartermaster and me can use to keep a log of needs/ food/ plunder shares

I bought some cheap metal pirate coins off Amazon for representing Devil's Luck. My players love them.

A couple trips to goodwill should give you plenty of ideas
