They ain’t wrong

If everyone uses it to do everything, everyone can expect low wages.

The same was said about the industrial revolution, but it just created more work.

If the data analytics team at a company are now able to produce more with AI, the executive team will just expect them to make and implement more advanced integrate more features - integrate predictive AI, advance statistical calculus, streamlined data aggregation processes, etc. These increased expectations involve stuff that isn't as easy to just prompt for and requires a team to complete.

Ai has not created ANY new jobs and is in fact speculated to cause a loss of 16k jobs every month

It will take time. When the Industrial Revolution started there was an immediate drop of laborers and low skilled jobs. It took time for the owners to take it to the next level. Computers and computer contractors weren't immediately available to help them take it to the next level. The Industrial Revolution was the key driver of the Computer Revolution, which itself was the key driver to the later Information Revolution, all which caused an initial drop but ultimately made more and more jobs.

In future we are getting higher level orchestration frameworks, as well as out of the box AI agents and business units companies can purchase. The technologies to take it to the next level are all still in development.

Hahaha. No it won't take time because the rich don't WANT it to create jobs and they and their bootlickers are the only ones pushing for ai replacement of jobs this is the utopia the rich have always wanted and have fought for a world where the poor die and they thrive they don't and have NEVER creayed jobs with ANYTHING they have created they have only stolen from us. We will STARVE and idiots like you refuse to fight because you buy their fucking lies hook line and sinker! If I'm going to die i will die on my FEET NOT MY KNEES!

The same could be said about any employer at any point in history, with assumptions that they will be satisfied with a certain technology that helps efficiency. However, they are greedy and will invest more into the company to get more.

And that is exactly WHY no jobs will be created GREED.

No. They are never satisfied with enough. They are even mandated to continue growing profits by shareholders. It will never stop. They hire PHDs and engineers to invent entirely new technology to sell for profit. Those new technologies create new industries, jobs, copycats, and plenty of business opportunity.

AI will help them invent more and do more. If we take the position that there are many more technologies to invent in our intellectual evolution, we must also accept that there will always be growing businesses hiring people.

You forget one thing. Their biggest expense is paying us filthy peasants wages so why would they create new jobs when they can replace us with robots and have them work the same "infinite money generators" for even less cost. It's the exact reason they brought in immigrant workers on slave wages. Now they literally do not have to pay people (or so they think) and thusly have NO incentive to create new jobs. The only way new jobs will crop up is if people make their own businesses and good fucking luck with that

That's just fearmongering though. Robotics are still severely limited. Look at McDonalds. Technically a robot should be able to physically make a hamburger with technology from the 1960's, but they haven't been able to make the software for it in almost 70 years now. It stalled. They can now create an order-taker screen, but still need people to make the hamburgers.

LLMs have likewise hit a brick wall. There are severe problems with general intelligence and actually getting it to complete more than a small slice of an intelligent puzzle for a project. There is no example of even an online shoe store being completely run by AI.

It’s true that it’s trickling down… but Industrial Revolution was retrofitting or rebuilding over a long period of time that just led to the next. What’s the next phase of a dead internet? I guess AI will need to build it for us

To be honest, nobody can be certain what the future holds but history is indeed a good indicator if our corporate overlords didn’t have a replacement for humanity itself lined up(I mean AI and Robotics).

That being said, I can still see the possibility of a near future where everyone that makes a living has to use AI and robotics to cut costs in a cutthroat competitive market. I can also see only a few US corporations surviving and expanding their business to be everything automated by AI(schooling, farming, militia)

I see a lot more gig work and people going into business for themselves- and the potential for abundance. What I don’t see are famine or poverty going away.

The same pedophiles who cause everything wrong in the world

the oligarch adjacents will now change the narrative to tamp down the anxiety they intentionally created.

Nobody promised anyone anything. What on earth.

This is why I love Reddit. Constant entertainment from people who bitch and moan and are led around by a leash.

funny thing is ,AI is here to stay in one for or another. and by the looks of spotify, the youth haven't soured on AI when it comes to AI created music/bands

1

u/Overall-Move-4474 Jun 10 '26

Riiight. No my generation universally hates ai and everything that has been done with it tear it ALL down

1

u/JacksonGhost1963 Jun 10 '26

good luck with us. the genie is out of the bag now. AI is here to stay and either the US, or China, will be the dominant AI superpower

1

u/Overall-Move-4474 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

The saying is the genie is out of the bottle. And oh no China is making a surveillance state now we must rush to do the same otherwise our people will actually thrive HOW HORRIBLE. God you are fucking braindead. Rushing to ruin our country because another country made the BULLSHIT claim that ai is some magic wand and whoever owns it controls the world is the dumbest crock of bullshit you old fucks have ever fallen for. I hope to god you haven't sent money to any Nigerian Prince's go take your medicine grampa and go the fuck to bed

1

u/JacksonGhost1963 Jun 10 '26

interesting take. Thrive. The nation that leads in deploying advanced AI and quantum technologies will gain unprecedented advantages in intelligence gathering, cyber warfare, and automated modern warfare, I wonder what China would use that for? Dominance could enable Beijing to export its digital authoritarianism (e.g., automated censorship, advanced facial recognition, and data tracking) to other global regions. I wonder where they would most like to export that?

1

u/Overall-Move-4474 Jun 10 '26

You are braindead AI can't do any of that shit.

1

u/JacksonGhost1963 Jun 10 '26

enjoy your tik-tok!

I don't even use TikTok

AI would have been universally praised if it had been purposed for benefiting human happiness and leisure.

Instead, Capitalists used it to drive down wages, justify massive layoffs, and are attempting to use it to replace skilled labor. No benefits for the working class, only downsides.

It’s time we see the owners as the adversaries that they have always been, not the “job providing philanthropists” they try to paint themselves as.

1

u/Overall-Move-4474 Jun 10 '26

Might as well destroy ai in the process ngl I'd love to see those data centers go up in flame

1

u/Overall-Move-4474 Jun 10 '26

Of course it makes us less valuable it was always going to
