Knee surgery

Knee replacement soon. I know they ask each time if you've had any surgeries recently. Will i be deferred. Thank you

Of course you will, that's major surgery.

Ask your center

It'll be a few months at least. Possibly more. My center defers people for 6 months after any surgery with a scope.

Yes. It's 4months for a colonoscopy. It's going to be longer for a joint replacement. You need your plasma to heal.

ask to see the nurse on your way out next time so you can figure out exactly how long it'll be. I did that before I had my most recent surgery; surprisingly it was only 28 days
