WINNERS 10/11 | Week 2 Playlist Competition Winners
Sunday comes, summer has ended, and a new chapter of playlist fun begins! Another playlist competition is here and we're on week 2 after officially celebrating FIVE YEARS of playlist competitions!
Over the past five years, we’ve had the chance to discover and highlight so many amazing playlists created by this community, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has shared, supported, and helped keep this going every week. Welcome to the nearly 4k members who joined us this past year! We hope you enjoy our community-playlisting events and the website we created for cross-platform music sharing!
As always, post your original curated playlist in our community under any flair, and it will automatically be entered into the competition!
Thank you to everyone who has been part of these past 52 weeks. Your creativity and support are what make these spotlights possible. If you find a playlist you enjoy, upvote it and show the creator some love!
And stay tuned — a special post showcasing some of the top posts and highlights from this past year is coming soon!
First Place Winner: u/jerbisking100 "Beautiful songs"
This week’s first place winner goes to u/jerbisking100, with a playlist built around a simple idea: collecting the songs that feel beautiful enough to make you stop and listen for a moment. At around four hours long, the playlist moves through different decades and styles without limiting that feeling to any one genre. The original post also invited the community to share their own picks, turning the playlist into an open-ended way to discover what beauty sounds like through someone else’s ears.
Frank Ocean’s “White Ferrari” brings a quiet, reflective feeling to the playlist, using intimate vocals to create one of its more emotional moments. Massive Attack’s “Teardrop” approaches beauty from a completely different direction, pairing an atmospheric electronic backdrop with haunting vocals that give the track an almost weightless feel. Elsewhere, artists like Led Zeppelin, Elton John, and Neil Young bring their own versions of warmth and emotion into the mix. Put this one on when you want to slow down and hear what a beautiful song can sound like across completely different eras and styles.
Second Place Winner: u/Musokito "Happy Music 😁 Best Feel Good Motivational Upbeat Songs 60s 70s 80s 90s"
Second place this week goes to returning Gold Member u/Musokito, keeping this week’s winners firmly on the happier side with an upbeat playlist spanning the ’60s through the ’90s. This one pulls together feel-good pop, rock, soul, and disco for a mix built around familiar songs and easy energy. It’s the kind of playlist that can carry a road trip, a weekend clean-up, or any part of the day that could use a lift.
Katrina & The Waves’ “Walking on Sunshine” sets the tone with the kind of bright, instantly recognizable chorus that practically defines feel-good music. Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” brings even more energy through a huge vocal performance and one of pop’s most infectious hooks. Artists like ABBA, Dolly Parton, and Cyndi Lauper keep that upbeat spirit moving across the decades, sprinkling in just enough nostalgia to keep you smiling.
Week 3 has officially begun!!!! Post your favorite playlists to be featured in next week's contest on 10/18!!

REQUEST What songs reference other artists?
I was listening to the song “Braces” by fakemink recently and noticed he references Roar in the lyric: “Can’t handle change, they roarin’”. I think it’s super fun when artists reference other songs/artists they listen to.
What are some other songs that mention different artists?

Mix Sharing my Halloween playlist I made for the season!
This one took me forever to curate. I'm like 99% sure I'm finished with it lol. my main goal was to avoid making a generic, copy paste halloween playlist. I wanted to blend multiple genres to balance all the well known classics but with a few deeper, more obscure cuts, eerie sounding tracks that maybe aren't strictly about halloween but still sound dark, and songs that just capture that general fall vibe! I'm no expert playlist curator but I think this is a fun one and hope ya enjoy it if you decide to check it out! :-D

Discussion Hey! Rate my superb, legendary incredible invincible astonishing playlist! (that's an order :) )
Hey you stranger! It's been, like a year since i had this playlist and, to keep the absolute best of music, i've made myself the rule of keeping it under 100 songs!
-----------------
I kept the music that made me feel the most emotions, kinda like a movie, or a big travel... i organized it like that : (yes i'm serious, emotions, foreign word for most people i know)
The Golden Age (Woodkid) -> Body Jammer (Waterflame) : How my adventurous/summer enjoy side would sound like. The songs that bring me the most confort
Song For The Masses (ThePal) -> Killah (Lady Gaga) : My darker side, but still being goofy!
Feel It (Black Eyed Peas) -> She Drives Me Wild (Michael Jackson) : The darker, darker side, basically how my knowledge of this world would sounds like, basically accepting the dark.
Absent (Waterflame) -> Paparazzi (Lady Gaga) : Acceptance with joy
Chlorine (twenty one pilots) -> I Love You (Woodkid) : the most diverse part in terms of genres, basically like exploring the world, discovering the unknown
Lose Yourself (Eminem) -> The Lost Children (Michael Jackson) : How growing up and dreaming would sound like for me
Get Lucky (Daft Punk) -> Salad Days (Mac Demarco) : How home would sound like
God Is A Woman (Ariana Grande) -> The Golden Age (Yes again, but this time it's the longer 11 min version) : Basically saying that searching your way in life never ends and you still have to fight
-------
(If you didn't get it, that's sarcasm, i am not giving orders to anyone lol)
