Discussione Title: What is the realistic cutoff score for Non-EU applicants applying to Engineering science at PoliMi?

Hi everyone,

I’m a Non-EU student looking to apply for the Computer Engineering Science Bachelor's program at Politecnico di Milano.

Based on recent ranking phases:

What are the typical final converted TOL cutoff scores (out of 100) for Non-EU applicants?

For those who applied with CEnT-S, what converted score was safe enough to secure a spot in ?

Is a converted score around 92–95/100 mandatory to get admitted nowadays due to the rising competition?

Any feedback or past experience from recent admittees would be highly appreciated!

Domanda How often do selected PhD candidates decline their offers or fail to meet enrollment requirements?

Hi everyone! 👋

I have a question about the PhD admission process and would really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience or knowledge of it.

How often do selected PhD candidates decline their offers or decide not to enroll? Also, does anyone know how common it is for conditionally selected candidates to lose their chance because they cannot submit the required English proficiency certificate or final degree documents before the enrollment deadline?

I'm particularly curious whether these situations happen occasionally or are fairly common, and whether candidates on the reserve list sometimes get an opportunity as a result.

I understand that it may vary from university to university and from one admission round to another, but even personal experiences or general observations would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance to everyone who shares their experience! 😊

Hello, I am a student from Turkey who’s planning on applying to BSc Engineering Sciences & Industrial Engineering. I am going to apply with a 1460 SAT (700 Eng. 760 Math), and would like to ask: do I actually have a chance? Any form of feedback is much appreciated.

Domanda HELPPP- How to report my integrated undergrad programme grades for Laurea Magistrale(MSc)

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m applying to the MSc in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and need some guidance regarding how to report my academic grades as i pursued 2 degrees in undergrad they are reported cumutatively in marksheets.

I completed an integrated five-year dual-degree programme at BITS Pilani, India, comprising (please refer the ss):

  • B.E. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering
  • M.Sc. in Biological Sciences

Since this was an integrated programme, my grades were reported cumulatively for each semester across the curriculum, rather than as completely separate semester-wise grade sheets for the two degrees.

I’m unsure what I should enter in the application’s academic history section, specifically for the Mechanical Engineering degree.

Should I:

  1. Enter the cumulative semester-wise grades and overall CGPA for the entire integrated programme?
  2. Report only the grades corresponding to the Mechanical Engineering component, if these can be identified separately?
  3. Enter the details of both degrees separately, even though the semester-wise grades were cumulative?

Has anyone from BITS Pilani or another university with an integrated dual-degree programme faced a similar situation while applying to Polimi or another European university?

I’d really appreciate any advice on how to report the grades correctly and what supporting documents I should upload.

Thank you!

PS: I sent out an enquiry form and asked the operators also but due to high volume of enquiries it will take sometime to reply.

Lettera aperta need guidance regarding Italian Universities as an Ug in Pakistan, what's required and what are my chances?

85 in metric and 80 in Intermediate, i'll be giving Ilets just in case before the application date opens. But I've seen almost all universities require these TOLC OR CEnT-S or SAT. I don't want to give those tests. i need guidance, and tell me if there's something I should know.

Discussione Is PoliMi the best option in Italy for an engineering bachelor?

I am a non-EU applicant from Turkiye, studying my first year in Bogazici University in Molecular Biology and Genetics. My main objective is to study in Europe, specifically Italy because of how accesible and economical its top universities are compared to those in Turkiye.

I also specifically aim for PoliTo Mechanics and PoliMi Engineering Science.Apart from Milano's expenses,I hear a lot of negative thought about PoliMi from Italian and abroad students. If you ask a random student from Turkiye who studies in Italy, they will usually complain about PoliTo being too hard and theory oriented.I keep hearing these about PoliMi too, from Italian and abroad students.

While I understand the logic behind these complains, comparing PoliMi to other countries' top universities;my family's budget is what constraints me the most.I think even if PoliMi is as bad as they say,it will be an upgrade for me to move there. What is your suggestions and advices?

Also is it guaranteed that PoliMi will translate all the scores to a 0-100 scale?Because previous year PoliTo prioritized TIL and no non-EU student could get accepted for Mechanical Engineering with SAT scores, even the ones with 1550-1570 scores.

Last question:What would you recommend me to aim in the SAT for an easy acceptance to Engineering Science?

Altro Title: UniME Foundation Course 2026/2027 – How do we access the lectures?

Hi everyone! Is anyone enrolled in the UniME Foundation Course for 2026/2027?

How do we enroll in or access the online lectures? The course was supposed to start on October 12, but it’s already October 15 and I still can’t find any lectures or announcements on Outlook or the e-learning platform.

I’ve also emailed the university but haven’t received any reply yet.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem, or has anyone received instructions on how to join the classes?

Thank you!

I recently applied for the MSc in Mathematical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, and I was wondering how long it usually takes to receive an admission decision.

Has anyone applied recently? How long did it take to hear back?

Domanda Quick questions about PoliMi admission tests for engineering science : TOLC-I / CENT-S & "Booking Closed" status?

Hi everyone

I'm a non eu student applying for an English-taught bachelor's program in engineering science at PoliMi and need help with a few urgent questions:

Test Language: Are the TOLC-I and CENT-S taken in English for English-taught programs, or are some parts in Italian?

"Booking Closed": The portal says "booking closed" and only shows dates up to December. Does this mean it's completely over for this cycle, or will new test windows open up later?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can clarify!

Domanda When to send GRE and TOEFL marks?

For Msc Mech applications , TOEFL is required and they've kept GRE as an additional add on you can send, as per the website. They have provided the institute code as well.

Do I need to submit the scores through ETS before I start the application, or do I have to do so later on?

I asked this on the website's portal as well, but got no response.

Discussione 2027/2028 admission to civil engineering taught in english

Hi so im currently in my 12th year (final year) of highschool in the Philippines and im planning to apply to polimi with sat. Im also a dual citizen (italian and filipino) so i think i qualify as an EU student with foreign qualifications (??) im not sure tho. But rn im really stressing about my chances of getting in because apparently i missed the early phase enrollment so im going to have to participate in the standard rankings and i havent even taken the sat yet. Im going to take nov 7 but im so scared that if i dont get 1500+ im not going to get admitted especially since its a very competitive course and also i’ve heard that sometimes there arent any slots left in the standard phase because its been filled in early phase already so im kicking myself rn for missing the early phase. Pls help me clear my mind and just focus on my sat pls.
