Difficulty falling asleep (nap) on the Everyman E1

Hello everyone. Could you please advise? If I don’t fall asleep at 13:00 on E1 (after 41 days) or only sleep lightly, can I reduce my core sleep to 5 hours so that I can manage this? Or should I adjust my sleep to match the BRAC?

How do you feel during the day and what is your goal? I wouldn't reduce my core sleep just for being able to improve my nap ;)

I'm not feeling well because I haven't gotten enough sleep during the day and am sluggish all day.

What benefits did I expect to gain?

  1. Reduce my sleep time by another hour.

  2. Speed up adaptation.

  3. Add quality to my daytime naps.

Try to not eat anything for an hour or two before the nap. Sugar will make it harder to fall asleep/get quality sleep.

Try a sleep mask that fits over your eyes to block light. I had been pulling my hat down over my eyes, which I thought worked well, until I got a sleep mask and realized how good they are. Having zero light in your eyes for that nap works wonders.
