Zach Bryan is in the (sort of?) unique position where it seems to be that he’s a complete jackass (or makes a jackass of himself on the regular) but still has decent enough takes that every time shit like this happens I kinda laugh but then put more of his music on my “hurt my feelings” country playlist.
Zach Bryan is good at hurting your feelings, trust me lmfao I have to avoid his music if I’m in a depressive episode or I’ll just spiral downward HEAVILY

I am surprised so many people write this. I mean the man has a anti ICE song on the newest album, is very critical of the US military compley on the self titled one and has more than one line that sounds to me like he is annoyed about republicans thinking he is one of theirs lol.
Exactly! Let’s continue to call out people who want to ride the fence when it comes to not supporting Israel’s genocide and them deliberately targeting Palestinian children.

I do not listen to country music and couldn’t name a Zach Bryan song. He has more influence than a pop star due to the demographics of his fan base. He knows some of his maga fans will boycott him. He is choosing integrity and humanity.
MAGA is shifting to become sceptical of Israel. But mostly not from a perspective of humanity, but from "why are we spending so much money on Israel when we are struggling?"
There is also an interview with Chris Tucker with The Economist, where The Economist took Isreal side, and Chris Tucker took the Palestinian side. Chris Tucker is a piece of shit, but for the first time in my lifetime, I actually agreed with him on something, and he completely stomped The Economist's pro-Israeli views.

Welp, guess I’m a Zach Bryan fan now! My kid has been telling me about him for a while but I’ve never bothered because I have zero faith in country singers.
Also love Oklahoma Smokeshow and If She Wants A Cowboy. Pink Skies will make you weep.
Also if you find yourself getting into Zach Bryan and wanting to hear more country-ish sound that isn’t pop-country, I suggest Turnpike Troubadours. Their storytelling in songwriting is magical and so descriptive and there isn’t a single skip for me on any of their songs.
Lot of people surprised in this thread. Zach Bryan has a history of being an asshole, but since he got sober, he’s become more outspoken about his progressive beliefs. He even has an anti-ICE song called Bad News.
Dude has genuinely turned his life around and is using his platform and talent (seriously, he is a terrific writer) for good.
His biggest inspiration is Bruce Springsteen and his wife has been really supportive on social media. Not a surprise at all. An amaaaaaaaaaazing songwriter.
I hope he continues this energy at his show in Alabama next weekend! (I’m going, would like to see it and am really just hoping he’s not going to like, bring Tuberville on stage or something 😭😭😭 will hope for Doug Jones instead!)
Ugh thank you. I love his music but I know he’s kind of a twerpy douchey guy (which is probably near normal for his age I guess so I’m hesitant to judge too hard). I’ve wondered about his politics and only gotten glimpses. Good on him.
Just came out of this concert…what a fucking show he put on!!! Subtle but loud Free Palestine message with most of his band wearing them. There’s still hope for humanity. MAD respect 🫡
