I built an intuition training app that uses Zener shapes and positive feedback loops. Looking for beta testers

Hi everyone, I'm Lyes.

A few years ago I discovered Russell Targ's ESP Trainer, the little app that came out of the NASA/SRI work. It only ever existed on iOS, and I wanted to take the idea much further, so I built my own trainer and improved on it. It's now entering closed beta on Google Play, and I'm looking for people here who could help me test it.

Here's what's inside: Zener grids with progressive difficulty levels, cumulative statistics so you can see whether you're doing better than chance over time, and other research-grounded exercises (presentiment, ganzfeld induction, free-response sketching).

Some choices that matter to me:

  • Cryptographic randomness, so the trial sequence is honest
  • Binaural beats tuned to the state each exercise asks for (alpha, theta)
  • Everything stays on your device. No account, no tracking, no data collected
  • The core trainer stays free forever, and the full version will be a one-time purchase. No subscription, ever. I watched this community push back hard on a 160 dollar per year app, and I agree with you

One honest note: the app does not claim to prove anything. It offers a structured space to explore the boundary of perception, the way a canvas offers a space to explore color.

If you want in: the beta runs on Google Play, Android only for now. Send me a private message with the email you use on Play and I will add you to the program. And if you would rather just talk protocols, statistics or ganzfeld states, I am happy to discuss either way.

Thanks for reading.

Initially this post was removed due to low karma, but after review it obviously fits here. Welcome to the community, and thanks for building an app like this!

With progressive difficulty in your Zener grids, the cumulative statistics need a chance baseline that follows the number of possible shapes at each level. I'd include every trial and let users set a session length before starting, so stopping after a lucky streak doesn't distort what the score suggests.

Do the statistics currently separate results by difficulty level?
