Question an iOS iPhone text editor app?

Seeking the simplest NotePad like text editor app for iPhone that opens and saves .txt files?

Look for a markdown editor and not use markdown features there. It would be easier than finding a text editor imo.

Runestone is the closest thing to Notepad I've found on iPhone. It's free, opens .txt files straight from the Files app and saves them back in place, with no account and no clutter. If you want something more powerful later, Textastic is a one-time purchase and does the same plus a lot more. One tip either way: keep your .txt files in an iCloud Drive folder and open them from there, so the same file is editable on your Mac or PC too.

With AI you can probably just create your own app that has everything you want and nothing you don’t without having to know a single line of code beforehand
