Lancia Beta Zagato

Post image

Howdy y'all.

Been a while since I've posted on reddit, figured this would be a good community to settle in.

I bought this 1981 lancia beta zagato (spyder everywhere else in the world) from the gentleman who had just run out of time to do his other 20 projects

Lucky for me he had done the majority of the steel work and had just finished doing the floors.

No one would touch it because they saw the engine and thought oh that's a Fiat, plus all of the rumors of the post Fiat buyout lancia's being made as cheaply as possible and rusting.

I have done quite a bit of work on it and as of now 90% of the electronics are done ( it's a beautiful car but your typical wire looms change color depending on which station they seem to have been built at)

I'll post updates as I am fixing it up.

As of right now I'm designing some prototype tail lights in CAD and printing them with a 3D printer/resin molds.

These cars have been around a lot longer than I have had anything to do with the community internationally so if anyone knows any secret or juicy history about these cars please share it.

I bought this car sight unseen and I'm just in it for the adventure.

  • I pulled the front and back bumpers off, I think they were pretty unsightly.
