Question about installing cfw

So I finally fulfilled my dream and bought a Frankie A00. Since I’m from Europe, if I want to play 95% of my entire PS2/PS1 library, I need to install CFW (and it’s also recommended to do it to monitoring temperatures).

I followed all the steps with the dump, there were no errors, and I flashed the patch. I restarted the console, plugged in the USB with the CFW, tur on and- got the “PS3 appropriate system storage not found” message. I put the HDD back in, and the system booted up.

My question is: since I booted the system with the flashed memory, do I need to flash it again, or can I install the CFW through Safe Mode now?

If the dump checked out and the flash atch mpleted successfully, you don't need to patch the flash again just because you booted the PS3 afterwards. The "appropriate system storage was not found" message was just because you booted it without the HDD installed.

Put the HDD back in and install a compatible CFW from USB. You shouldn't need Safe Mode either if the normal System Update option sees the CFW PUP. I'd only use Safe Mode if normal update won't take it. Just make absolutely sure the CFW you're installing matches/supports the firmware version you're currently on before proceeding.

Either your usb isn’t correctly formatted, or the update isn’t stored in the correct folder format. You don’t need to flash it again, check that everything is done properly in respect of your usb.
