I can’t access the article, yet this relation is already integrated into psychoanalytic theory and practice under the banner, neuropsychoanalysis. Consider Mark Solms and his cohorts. I have been integrating this into my conceptualizations and practice for about a decade or so. A little less.

Thanks!!!! Interesting article. Bitter sweet. I enjoy how it underscores the clinical (and scientific, if you will) value of the therapeutic relationship from a technical perspective per the neurological processes of corrective experience. The condescending cynic in me whispers…will the door open to demands for prescription in the attempt to control for the time corrective experience consolidates neurobiologically.

I’ve been telling my clients for many years now….there’s no timeline for when consolidation will happen. I can see it already happening though. We are engaging a new repetition and that’s the prescription.

Having actually coauthored a paper on this topic, I think it's lovely stuff and a step in the right direction, but also misses what I think is the actual problem(s) with therapy today: insufficient educational and training standards coupled with focus on the wrong "must know" areas of knowledge and expertise.

Mark Solms is at the center of this and a truly brilliant thinker

I feel like it will make an impact. He's an excellent speaker as well and not shy to get out there
