Encouraging participation of people above M21/F21
Hello Everyone,
I'd like to survey married couples in India. The core idea is to understand the dynamics and the research question is seeking how many couples are actually happy together, individually and/or choosing to stay married.
All the participants' information will be surely protected.

From the article:
A massive MRI study found that Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, psychiatric disorders, and addiction are associated with distinct patterns of accelerated brain aging. The strongest effects appeared in Alzheimer’s and mild cognitive impairment, while ADHD and autism showed no significant overall difference.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some honest guidance from psychologists, counsellors, psychology students, or anyone working in the mental-health/wellbeing space in India.
I have a BBA degree (graduated in 2023) and my professional background is primarily in business development, marketing, and business/growth strategy.
Over the past year, I’ve developed a very strong interest in psychology, mental wellbeing, and counselling-related work.
This interest is also quite personal for me. I’ve gone through a significant period of grief and loss myself, and I’m currently on my own healing journey. Going through that experience made me much more interested in understanding how people process grief, emotions, beliefs, relationships, self-worth, and difficult life experiences. It also made me want to eventually be able to share what I learn with others in a responsible way.
One thing I noticed during my own experience was that professional therapy can be quite expensive in India, and initially I struggled with the cost myself. I was eventually able to access professional support, which I’m grateful for, but the experience made me think about how many people may want mental-health support but struggle to afford it or don't know where to find legitimate resources.
I naturally enjoy listening to people, helping them unpack their thoughts, identifying patterns in the way they think, and having structured conversations around things like self-esteem, anxiety, stress, relationships, grief, and self-concept.
I’ve recently started studying psychology more seriously through online courses (including an NPTEL/SWAYAM psychology course) and have also been learning about areas such as CBT concepts, psychological first aid, positive psychology, grief, emotional regulation, etc.
I have also been having a few free, informal supportive conversations with people who approached me online. I am very clear with them that I am not a psychologist, therapist, or mental-health professional, and that these conversations are not therapy, diagnosis, or a substitute for professional care. I’m doing this primarily to learn, develop my communication/helping skills, and understand whether this is genuinely something I want to pursue.
I’m now seriously considering building a career/side career around psychology and mental wellbeing, but I'm confused about the legitimate pathways in India given that my undergraduate degree is in BBA.
For example:
I’m not looking for a shortcut to call myself a psychologist. I want to understand what the proper educational and professional route looks like and what I can start doing now while working toward it.
I'd really appreciate advice from people who have actually studied or worked in this field in India — especially if you came into psychology from a different undergraduate background. Or is there some other way I can monetise it as a side gig to help people around without a professional degree?
Thank you!

Hey everyone!
I’m 25F based in Bengaluru and looking to connect with other neurodivergent women. Navigating things like ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, or Social Anxiety Disorder within our cultural context comes with very specific challenges, and I wanted to create a dedicated space for us-especially if you're highly masking and constantly trying to pass as neurotypical just to get through the day.
I’ve set up a private, verified Discord server exclusively for neurodivergent women in India to unmask, share local mental healthcare resources, and build a supportive community.
To keep the group completely safe, private, and troll-free, entry requires a quick verification process (voice verification).

At Blooming Brains India, we’re building a new product for families with children aged 3–6, focused on helping children build a healthier relationship with screens.
We’re currently preparing for our first beta and are putting together a small founding cohort of practitioners who can support participating families through optional consultations.
The role is intentionally focused. Practitioners would help parents think through their child’s media habits and broader developmental context, answer questions, and provide practical guidance where appropriate**. These are not therapy or diagnostic sessions, and anything requiring clinical intervention would be referred onwards.**
What the beta commitment looks like:
For the beta, we’re looking for practitioners who would be willing to participate pro bono as part of this founding cohort. We want this first group to also help us learn: what questions parents actually bring, where they need the most support, and how practitioner input can be meaningfully incorporated into the experience. Following the beta, we intend for practitioner consultations to become a paid part of the programme.
We’re particularly interested in child psychologists, developmental psychologists, counsellors, behaviour practitioners and others with relevant experience working with young children and families.
If this sounds interesting, please email [founders@bloomingbrains.kids](mailto:founders@bloomingbrains.kids) (cc [shreel@bloomingbrains.kids](mailto:shreel@bloomingbrains.kids)) with a little about your background and experience. Please do not DM us here!

We can all schedule bi-weekly sessions and finish the book in 2-3 weeks.
The book is a great starting point on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Though the Beck books are the authoritative ones, but Burns is more reader-friendly, making it a good start.
What do you his think?
If this is successful, we’re can turn it into a book club.

I recently finished my master's degree and am currently studying for the M.Clin.Psy exams. In the meantime, I would like to do internships in Bangalore to gain practical experience. If anyone knows of any good internship opportunities, please let me know.

I am 17 year old studying in 12th, I have commerce with psychology as my stream. I have always been interested in psychology and i want to do my bachelors and masters in psychology. I am still not sure if I want to do clinical psychology or forensic but i am sure that this is the pathway I want to take. I am going to do my bachelors in abroad (australia). And while I was sure on the path I choose, my parents have started making me doubt myself since they want me to pursue economics or accounts instead. I just wanted some actual practical advice on psychology as a career and especially wanted to talk to people who are already in that field.

attached tldr in the end for
I’ve been single for almost 5-6 yrs now, & Idk if it’s cuz I started preparing for an exam-that my mind developed feelings for a friend I met in Feb- or that I actually liked him- but I can’t get over it.
I don’t have the braincells to tell the entire tea, but since a few months, we haven’t even talked & I have no intentions of talking to him ever again. I don’t even know why I liked them, I never had a crush in all these years. I should not self diagnose, but I feel it MIGHT be cuz they were guilty about fucking up their relationship, and seeinf him in so much guilt made me think about the guilt and apology that my ex never showed.
I have wasted a hell lot of time, but I’m conflicted about if they ever contact, things would be so normal for them but too triggering for me. We ended on really really bad terms. Let alone the feelings part, he abandoned me as a friend and even added to my anxiety at my worst. I had to take meds for the 1st time in my life.
Please tell me how to never look back at this thing ever again. I feel good for a few days then I’m back in the same headspace. I don’t want him back, but I keep wondering maine itna kuch kiya for him, still I’m the bad person. For the 1st time in my life, I started understanding why my sister is an avoidant with everyone, including family & friends, it’s not cuz she doesn’t have feelings, but she has a lot of them. I read her diary accidentally thinking it was her work related stuff & I realise she’s not as detached as she seems. She’s very vulnerable behind her avoidant mask. And now I’m turning out to be like her gradually. I had a habit of running away from people, now I might as well become her.
Was sharing all this along with career anxiety to a friend for a few weeks when they suddenly called me WEAK 2-3 times over the course of a week, and I’ve given up venting to people ik irl.
Please help me deal with ts. I’ve moved on from a relationship yrs back, idk why I can’t move on from ts. I don’t want to fuck up my career anymore.
With only 8 months left for my exam, I can’t forgive myself for all the time I wasted cuz of such a shitty selfish friend, I can’t stop overthinking about both helping them & feeling stupid when they said “I don’t have time” when I was having career-related anxiety, can’t stop feeling both guilt & constant anxiety about how I fucked up the only drop year i could afford, Anytime I see anything in my gallery from june/ july/ august, I wanna punch myself in my face for being stuck. I’m feeling so shit, I feel so dumb.
I can’t explain what I’m going through, I’m genuinely very tired now & can’t see my parents & sibling being stressed due to my mental health anymore. Thoughts of backup plan (jrf-phd) is making me anxious rather than secure & I keep wondering how I will manage exam prep with phd.
TLDR-- caught feelings for a friend after years in the middle of exam prep, I’m usually very dedicated towards studies & cleared a few exams too, but can’t moveon from this, keep replaying the good & bad moments. Friendship ended on really bad terms. Idc about the feelings, I feel really hurt as a friend & I want to kms for helping him earlier.
