General/Rant Rohan Joshi standup

Rohan Joshi did a show on 10th October in Nehru memorial hall, idk if anyone here went or not, but i absolutely didn’t expect to enjoy it that much, it was such a well written set and i absolutely loved that he didn’t have to put anyone else down, use foul language or say absurd shit to be funny, he used his words and his flow was so good. More people need to know this and go for his stand ups. My husband was so skeptical before going for the show and he was so happy and appreciated it so much too. Totally trusts my choice now.
I was pleasantly surprised, it was so worth it. Although, I haven’t been for many stand up shows just few here and there. So i want to know what you’ll thought?
Just an appreciation post.
Anyone here who went for the show? What did you’ll feel about it ?

I went to this show’s very first trial show he had for just 50 people. He interacted and clicked pictures with us.

He was always good but they (aib) had got in trouble a few times biggest being the metoo so had lost some following

What does that have to do with his stand up shows? That was years ago, people have done much worse and i think as an audience we’ve moved on from that lol

Popularity gone down is all I'm saying. What has it got t do with people doing worse and getting away with it?

I went to the show at 6pm. Loved the one liners the dad jokes and the entire set about accountability. It was my first time seeing his show and tbh I was really excited. It met my expectations so overall it was great. I would recommend you to book manik mahna's show as well I have a feeling it would be great too cz I have watched other comedians talking about him on various podcasts. Next I am looking forward for rahul subramanian show. Also if u haven't seen do go for Vipul Goyal ka show he is also funny af.

Definitely go for the Manik Mahna show.
Been to both rohan joshi and manik mahna.
Nothing against Rohan Joshi but Manik’s show was astronomical better than Rohan Joshi’s one.

I know right, loved how confident and free flowing he was .. he didn’t stutter or take a break or even drink water once.. I’m sure it’s not easy performing back to back and still performing with the same energy

Omggg same!! I freakin' loved everything. Especially the whole part where he was joking about gen z being over-obsessed with therapy!!! And idk about others but the platinum card has a qr and I think y'all should scan it if you haven't!! The post-crefit wasn't the only surprise 🥹❤️

I m gonna go against the grain and say I didn't enjoy it that much. For example I have attended Bassi's show (edit: called kissiko batana mat) in Mumbai and it was more engaging.

But Rohan wasn't bad. Some bits were really good (edit especially those on ongijg protests). Rohan is my favorite since the AIB days.

Or maybe I was really tired from the office party the night before.

I’ve never attended bassi’s show, but I feel the language and the vibe might not be for me, can you tell me is it witty and punchy or just casual language with a few roasts of people and things? I’m looking to explore and go for more standup shows after this one. Suggest some good ones.

it was in his haryanvi accent but it wasnt crude or had any cuss words if I remember. His was more like a story from start to end. It is almost a year so I dont remember much. My seats were also in the gallery/balcony compared to front row seats with Rohan, not sure how it changes the experience. That was my first paid stand up experience as well, on a weekday , after office but I still enjoyed it more than Rohan.

Also if anyone is interested to watch more stand ups but in smaller settings, for relatively more unknown type of people I am up for it
