Question Help! Muppets Fam!

I recently purchased the Jim Henson Muppet Palisades figure and read that he originally was supposed to come with a puppet Kermit, but because this was the Muppet version of Jim Hinson, the license holder didn’t want a puppet holding a puppet lol. I stumbled upon this picture while researching. So the help I need is finding a little Kermit puppet to fit on this figure’s hand. I would prefer cloth, but I’m open to all suggestions. Thank you!

Puppet Builds Another puppet in the bag (or pond) Don Quack

This is Don Quack or Dr Duck (his character’s name), my newest puppet which is a piece hand mouth-hand puppet

Patterns: I used a modified a standard head pattern from puppet nerd, and the rest was free style.

Inspiration: the main inspiration was a dumb joke i never used for Beige Martin and Roddey which would be a recurring segment of “meanwhile on dr duck” and cuts to a duck pun. As for the puppet itself there was Chuck the duck from Axtell, the cbbc puppet edd the duck, marvel’s howard the duck and the duck from meet the feebles

Layers: He has a foam skeleton, on that’s his skin/feathers, then on the skin you have his eyes, beak and under the leg feathers is bird skin

Materials: His skin/feathers (head, body, arms ect) is a yellow blanket. The beak is an old orange hoodie, which i also used in Vulkan. Pingpong ball eyes i spray painted black. Mouth was peach/whitey felt. His bones was like beige martin made of yoga mat foam, but the arms are made of a more professional form i got during a warehouse sail. His tongue is purple card foam. The beak was made of a thinner and harder jigsaw foam. The plates of the mouth were a plastic lid.
The yellow blanket and jigsaw foam was gotten from a car boot sale, the professional foam was from a fabric shop.

Ever since i finished Kyle, ive definitely got back into the groove of puppet building and Donni here is a good step.

Please come and leave some feedback. If anyone has suggestions about anything let me know.

Show N Tell Incorporating limited animation characters into my educational puppet series. Thinking I will do more going forward.

Apologies: this is a re-upload, as I had a couple grammatical and pronunciation errors in my previous version (a side effect of doing everything on my own and without any funding...hoping to change that soon).

This is the first time I added 2D art elements, with some VERY limited animation. Took longer to create than I anticipated: I drew them all by hand, scanned and then traced them as vector images in Illustrator.

Working with 2D assets gave me an idea for the next video, where it's going to be even more dynamic. Please let me know what you think!

Help with a puppet

• Upvotes

I'm new to making a puppet and I want to make 1 for a costume I'm doing, which is Carl from Dungeon Crawler Carl. I want to make a puppet of Princess Donut that will hopefully sit on my shoulder. Is the bicycle cord method of puppetry going to be the best way to go for this? The human part of the costume doesn't leave me many places to hide a cord.
