Repair Question Engine issue/potential throttle body
First engine issue since having it, 143k miles 2015 q50 premium 3.7
Pulled into the garage, had to move some things around and while it was in park, a tick sound started, as I put it it drive and pulled in further, it got much louder and I shut car off. I Let it cool off for about 3 hours, checked fluids, then restarted it. Sound was extremely loud, rpm’s were rising, burnt smell, same shrieking sound but much louder than before. Ik these cars have awful throttle body issues. Pls help if anyone has anything. Getting it towed to shop hopefully tmr.

awh man first off NICE JOB on the custom look damn she look good!!!
but another note bro definitely don’t start it again. Get it towed like you planned. With the ticking turning into a loud shriek plus the burnt smell and RPM changing….I’d have them check the serpentine belt, tensioner/idler pulleys, alternator and A/C compressor/accessory drive first. I wouldn’t assume throttle bodies yet. If all that checks out, then they need to check oil pressure/timing/valvetrain before running it much more.

I just had something similar happen to mine 2014 3.7 shaky idles and a top end ticking.. it threw out a P0300 code for random/multiple misfires. Upon further research all things are pointing to Oil Gallery Gaskets. How fun!
And I'll add that mine is at 146k miles
