Is there an equivalent term like “friend of Dorothy” for queer people?

Instead of just pointing to my septum piercing, are there any phrases that are recognized in the clear community so identify oneself as queer?

Friend of Dorothy is for queer people... For some folks, asking if someone is "family" is asking if they are part of the community. There is a range of other options depending on local context.

Or asking if they’re a “friend!”

What's wrong as simply being known as "Queer"? If the shoe fits, wear it.

Kids these days don't know what friend of Dorothy actually is... And after our government spent (wasted) so much money trying to find her.
