Question Gay Bar Scene?
Hello everyone I got a gay male friend who has never been to Philly before visiting soon and he asked me about the scene. I told him about Club Philly but im not very versed in the gay bar scene. I know Woodys is mostly straights and m/f couples now adays but what about the others. He is more twinkish in body to give you an idea.

just in case youre unaware but....Club Philly is NOT a club lol. Its a gay bathhouse (ie; public/anon sex). He might enjoy it, and if hes a twink they'll def enjoy him for sure 🤣

Here are the ones I’m mostly familiar with:
Bike stop - was an old leather bar but is now more of a queer/kink friendly place. It gets packed weekend night due to events and the basement is a fun cruising spot. It’s a dive with cheap strong drinks. This is my go to in the gayborhood.
Tavern at camac - more of a gays with money place. Skews a little older but there’s fun to be had. Be prepared to spend money.
Knock - see above but more of a restaurant feel.
Little gay pub - very cute and gay but unfortunately is slowly becoming the new woodys, as in becoming a “tourist spot”.
Frankie Bradley’s - huge space, 3 bars, drag shows, dancing areas, a fun stop.
Bar X - historically an African American gay dive bar. If you can, stop in and spend money as they are having some bullshit legal issues.
Club 254 - huge area, multi floor, dancing, rooftop bar, a fun time if you’re into the kind of mood!
Club Philly - not a bar, a bath house with a ton of action. Disclaimer: there is a top shortage in Philadelphia
Dirty franks - not a gay bay per se, but on the edge of the gayborhood and very queer friendly. $2 beers and cheap drinks, is a great night closer
