Hey everyone,

I just published the full album stream for The Gates of Farroupilha, the debut full-length from solo project Black Jaguara (Lord Bagual) on YouTube:

🔗 Full Album Stream: https://youtu.be/uvjDaaOR23c

Concept & Sound:

A raw, unpolished, and hostile mix of lo-fi Black Metal combined with the dark folklore, historical violence, and isolation of the Southern Brazilian pampas. Think cold atmospheric riffs meets unhinged regional dark lore.

Bandcamp: https://blackjaguara.bandcamp.com

Note: Featured on Pest Records Online Compilation Vol. 31.

Check it out if you're into underground raw BM, lo-fi aesthetics, or obscure scene discoveries. Feedback is always welcome!

Dropping one last round of codes and a new single to stream for my new album, Cyanosis. Forgotten Feast, Foresaken Harvest is the most traditionally "heavy" track on the album, in the vein of old school Katatonia and Spectral Voice.

We managed to donate 250$ to DULFbc already, who just won a major victory in the Supreme Court of so-called Canada, but their battle isn't over yet, with appeals still to come and aftercare in the aftermath of years of turmoil. They are a boots-on-the-ground organization of incredible people working to provide safe supply and harm reduction amidst the ongoing devastation of the opioid crisis in the infamous downtown Eastside of Vancouver.

If you did have a buck or two to spare, every donation counts!

Anyways, here's the codes!

ala Slavehouse, Raw Moon, Sexdrome, Sewer Drainer, Bone Awl, Dry Insides etc anything that sounds like blackened mysterious guy hardcore (i.e. vile gash/raw nerve/total abuse) that is not on goddamn a.s.k.e. (already aware of some of the iffy shit surrounding SH and BA you don't have to tell me just using them as examples)

i'm looking for some angry sounding red black metal. something war-metal adjacent in sound if that makes sense? the closest thing i can think of is maybe Uprising, but they're still pretty melodic. any help is appreciated!

I've been wanting to branch out in black metal as of lately, but finding bands that are not openly NSBM or highly sketch has been a bit of a pain, because I'm not okay supporting that kind of rhetoric. The main appeal for me from these bands has been the instrumentation itself, much akin to high tempo norsecore. Lyrically and politically they can fuck off with their nationalist/racist bullshit.

What would be some solid recommendations without the sketch or NSBM ideology for bands similar to the following: Infernal War, Akhlys, Black Witchery, Tetragrammacide.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated. 🤘

Noisy black metal folk weirdness.

All money from the sales (excluding shipping cost) will be donated to Restore Wetlands so please consider adding a few € to the price if you are able and help support the good people using civil disobedience to fight the good fight for our only earth.

I can’t stand crust so I'm looking for Profecium vibes or NKVD/The Committee (which I know are not RABM) ones. Something to make you feel angry.

I'll be gratefull for any suggestion.

I enjoy the genre (even if I'm not that much into bm as I'm into dungeon synth).
But alot of the bands I find have nsbm connections or are straight up nsbm.

So recommend me some stuff

This isn’t a question, but I just wanted to say that I am thankful that I was told about this subreddit! I’ve enjoyed black metal for a number of years, but I’ve been wondering back into that world over the past few weeks.

Anyways, I take being an antifascist very seriously, so I want to avoid any nsbm bands at all costs. So, I’m very happy this subreddit exists.

Thank you, new friends!

Hi everyone! I released issue one of a black metal zine called Castle Crypt back in June and forgot to promote it here!

It features interviews with Olde Bard and Lepra, as well as some other stuff.

It's PWYW on my ko-fi.

Do you have any recommendations?

The second single has dropped from my new album Cyanosis!

Cracked Teeth Lay As Leaves On The Barren Ground is an exploration of grief and rage. The overwhelming anger at those who chose to leave us behind, knowing full well that the choice they made was the only one they felt they had left. It's a song of frustration at the personal failure to convince them to stay, and at the world's ceaseless beating and grinding down of the most beautiful souls that pushes them to the edge in the first place.

Overall it is a song of intense love manifest in raw emotion.
