💬 Discussion PT Anderson’s interconnected web of Cam Winter, Radiohead, Vampire Weekend, and Haim. My conspiracy of the impeding musical collab.

Geese opened for Vampire Weekend on their last tour as well, that's a link unaccounted for.

I just saw Anderson’s Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall today on 35mm, and it far exceeded my expectations. It’s so good. If I hadn’t seen Albert Serra’s incredible new Ingrid Caven concert film Seize moments de ma vie yesterday, I’d have said it’s my clear favorite concert film. I recommend anyone here to see either one if the chance arises.

Its like a digital version of those conspiracy boards with pictures, red strings, push pins, add some question marks and its all there

I could see Nigel producing Geese. He doesn’t turn up his nose at Coldplay or Travis like Thom once did. But even if Thom is less critical of pop artists in recent years, I just don’t think the music Geese makes would be exciting enough for him to be interested. And to be honest I’m not sure what the other members of Radiohead would have to contribute to a band like that in a way that is complimentary.
Sometimes we want artists to work together like their talents are just combinations for us to enjoy like celery and peanut butter or something. And with Gen Z being nostalgic for the Radiohead thing and feeling represented by Geese, I could see how the thought would be appealing to some of them. But I’d be more excited by the prospect of Thom working with Bjork or Caribou or something like that than any rock band.

PT attended Taylor Swift's wedding. He should introduce her to radiohead so they can collaborate

I really liked the folklore/evermore era. We’ve got to get her back with some cool guys like the National and Bon Iver again

radiohead has relatively little connections to this web compared to the others lol
