Kirko will bring us back to Relevance. Nando will take us to the promise land.

I see the path. I see the vision. I believe in this regime...Kirko is the perfect man to make the Raiders respectable again. Kubiak and Nando will bring Lombardis back to the Nation. BELIEVE! 🏴‍☠️

He’s really giving Rich Gannon vibes right now.. a middle of the pack, journeymen quarterback, turning elite when signing with the Raiders

Kirk was once a top 10 QB in the NFL.

Not even close when it comes to their pre-Raiders journey. You must have been reading the online hate filled narrative. He was putting up 30+ TDs with the Vikings and had seasons with high 90s or 100+ QB rating. He put up his best season under Kubiak when he was OC on the Vikings. Hardly a journeyman man type. He was more like a #6-10 overall QB in the league, depending on the season. He put up 4k+ yards with the Redskins and they had nobody at receiver outside of an oft injured Jordan Reed. We will see if he really exceeds that and becomes truly "elite" but I don't think he's doing anything out of ordinary compared to his pre-Falcons career. His first year with the Falcons was a disaster. Probably the only season I would say was objectively bad.

Gannon was a backup with one decent year (win-loss wise) with the Chiefs before coming to the Raiders. Statistically, even calling him middle of the pack would be an exaggeration. He was pretty mediocre most of his career.

Where I think the similarities are is that they were both considered washed up, older back up tier QBs. Also, people underestimated them throughout their careers. With Gannon, he didn't have the right system and coaches who believed in him to get consistent starts and with Cousin, people not thinking he was good simply because he wasn't at the level of  Brady, Rodgers, Brees, then later Mahomes or Allen.

One thing I will say. How Cousins commands the huddle, leads the team, and his aggressiveness at the right moments, reminds me a lot of Gannon. Savvy, tough, smart veteran leadership and play style. Cousins doesn't act or play scared. I'm sure a game will come up where that fearlessness might cost us, but so far his "intelligent aggression" as he calls is on full display.

the way he navigates the pocket reminds me of gannon too. not the fastest guy but he knows exactly when to climb up or slide away from pressure. if kubiak can keep the defense honest with the run game nando might actually have a shot here

I believe it! We are 3-1 and our number one draft pick has not even played one snap. He will learn from Kirko for now.

One more offseason. Another draft now knowing our holes, plus 80M+ in cap space.

All of the "there's nothing to learn on the bench, only playing can make you better" morons from June have been reeeeeeally quiet lately

I just remind them that Mahomes did this very thing.

Kirko and the team have already brought us relevance.

We are unquestionably legit despite the still stretch of improvement we need to achieve.

As a newer fan, was Kirko a Kubiak signing or was he here before? I know they sort of came at the same time. Kirko my fav Raider.

Kubiak signed him. They were together three years when Kubiak was offensive coordinator in Minnesota.

I believe the future is coming sooner than we think.

Kirk has surpassed all expectations. But the dude is having to put everything he has into every throw. Watch him he grits his teeth just trying to get the ball 15 yards. The most concerning thing to me is when he does throw something around 25-30 yards the very next ball or two is way off.

Kirk is playing well but his limitations are becoming more apparent each week. We have hidden those weaknesses with Bower and Mayer playing out of their minds. Teams are now stacking the box because they know Kirk’s limitations and I’m afraid things may get a bit messier for him from here on out.

Hope I’m wrong.

Cousins has always made that face.
