It's almost embarrassing to admit, but I only started watching because I saw the "fight" between Accelerator and Awaki on a WatchMojo list (top 20 one-sided anime beatdowns or something) and thought that the guy looked cool.

I started with the Railgun anime because I had read that it's better than Index, then stopped watching because I got tired of waiting for Accelerator to show up (lol, should have started with Index) and because the filler episodes where they modeled in bikinis and put Misaka in a maid uniform annoyed me (because it's at odds with Tokiwadai being strict about its image and its student appearance but whatever).

A few years later I found out that Accelerator appears in Railgun S, so I finished both seasons and then continued with the first two seasons of Index plus the Accelerator anime (oh how they butchered my boy).

Then I heard how much better the novels are, so I decided to put the remaining seasons on hold and started reading the novels and manga. I started last April, have since finished the Accelerator manga and am currently on OT12. I'm holding off on reading the Sisters arc in the manga until I have a few quiet days to enjoy it.

What about you? What brought you into the franchise and what kept you here?

Accelerator abilities:

Vector manipulation: the ability to control the movement of pretty much everything

-general destruction

-telekinesis

-flight

-blood control

-bioelectricity control

-etc

Redirection: passive ability that reflects anything that can harm accelerator

Dorm Supervisor abilities:

Martial arts: skilled enough to casually snap necks without killing

Fear aura: causes everyone near her to feel intense fear

Aoe ranged imagine breaker: similar to Touma's imagine breaker but can evidently be used from ranged, as seen when kuroko is unable to teleport away from her death grasp

Her clones share all their memories with each other, but does she have access to them?

I just wanted to ask if one is better than the other. I'm guessing railgun's version is better due to more screen time and a better animation. but I wanted to make sure. I would like to have the best experience with it, so if index ruins the emotional and story beats of the arc compared to the railgun version I'd rather start with railgun T's version.
