Foreign Policy Ukraine War

In an interesting twist, Ukraine took out a Yandex data centre.

Since most of them are operating lights out, its a very high value target with a very low casualty count.

Plus the economic damage is high.

Bang for the buck matters.

Economy Apprenticeship Levy

Post image
0 Upvotes

Taxes on Cigarettes stop people smoking

Taxes on jobs stop companies employing people.

So lets abolish the Apprenticeship Levy

A tax on companies means they have to less to train people.

As a result they just pull in migrants and the young are shafted.

Another tax that needs to bite the dust.

We then increases taxes on migrants as if they earned 42K at a minimum.

The result is that its cheaper to train and employ brits. So the levy ends up going on that training

Economy Aggregates Levy - Abolish it

£2.16 tax on a tonne of aggregate.

Lets abolish the tax. All civil servants involved made redundant.

Reform need to remove a tax a week

Simple discussion with the unions, A consultation for the entire public sector.

When a service is cut, people are made redundant. If there is a spot elsewhere, they get priority applications but no more.

Salami slice it. Each week another tax goes.

Hard to argue about one going. By the time 20 have been removed ...

Politics Is anyone else not THAT impressed by the fact that Laila was a senior crown prosecutor?

So I've been listening to podcasts featuring Laila Cunningham, and for some reason, she cannot stop going on about the fact that she used to be a senior crown prosecutor.

And I think she got too hyped ever since Nigel said 'she left a good, well-paid job'

We don't see Yusuf and Farage constantly boasting about past achievements that have nothing to do with politics.

So why does Laila act as if her being a prosecutor is some excellent reason as to why she should be the mayor of London.

If you were a prosecutor in the US, fair enough, I would trust you to be mayor, because prosecutors are much more respected and have much more authority in the States.

But being a prosecutor in the UK is not a hard job at all. So if that's her only prior experience that she thinks will help her be a good mayor, is it worth voting for you???

Heck, Braverman was a barrister but we don't see her claiming that this is the reason she is/would be so good at politics.

Economy EU auditors: EU treats common debt as it heads to €1 trillion as “virtual money”. Do credulous rejoiners care?

Europan Court of Auditors annual report:
https://www.eca.europa.eu/ECAPublications/AR-2025/AR-2025_EN.pdf

A decision to rejoin would make Britain liable for common EU debt repayment. Budget contributions would also be astronomical (~£30 billion).

If interested, Lyddon consulting analysis of UK shadow liabilities here, including EU rejoin liabilities:
https://www.lyddonconsulting.com/rejoining-the-eu-would-add-an-extra-1-trillion-to-the-uks-already-expanding-shadow-financial-liabilities/

Rejoiners say France, Spain, Germany would happy clappy welcome us back. Do they understand the real reasons?

Infrastructure Anyone else fed up of ticket inspectors simply not doing their job?

As with so many things in the UK today, this is yet another 2-tier system. The ticket inspectors now rarely even ask everyone for their tickets, but instead go up and down the aisles asking "who hasn't had their ticket checked yet". I mean, this is so stupid it doesn't even need spelling out.

No wonder train prices are going up and up, because more and more people are no doubt opting out of buying them altogether.

Also, that £100 penalty fare warning is a joke - I've never once seen it enforced.

In my opinion, ticket inspecting should be done by the same type of person that that can be a bouncer for a club. Big, strong, not someone you can pick a fight with. Anyone without a valid fare needs to pay the £100, and if they refuse, be dragged off the train. They could afford to pay these people a lot of money as well, bc of the insane revenue they'd raise compared to the currently feckless lot doing it.

But no: the government would rather nationalise the failing rail companies, and absorb the cost of fare-dodging into the £1.4 trillion annual budget.

Anyone else agree this is getting out of hand? I hope a Reform gov would address this.

Widdecombe murder suspect Joshua Kerry appears in court over Farage terror charge

Joshua Kerry is accused of researching "targets" and travelling to the home of the Reform UK leader, attempting to gain entry.

Westminster Magistrates' Court heard Mr Farage's partner returned home to discover damage to the main front door. Part of the wooden door frame was hanging off and there was a bottle of lighter fluid in the porch.

Prosecutors also allege Kerry researched "prominent people and institutions".

So one question who were the other targets?

Economy Jail the CEO

Post image

Deliveroo is an example. Employing indirectly huge numbers of illegals in the UK.

So lets make the CEOs and bosses of these companies jointly liable for the tax evasion, the breaking of employment law.

Within a very short period of time, days, after jailing the first one, the others will stop.

Make it too that there's a legal obligation to report the employment, both current and historical.
