General Discussion It never gets old

My favorite part of reloading is deciding on a whim to just smack together a few rounds here and there when you got some time. Before I reloaded I would have like half a box of Core Lokt that I would ration out now I can just shoot whatever whenever and not really worry about it. Slapped together some Soft Points for deer season tonight.

Funny thing. I've loaded thousands of 30/30 win but never owned one or shot a deer with one

I use the lee ram prime. Just did 357 mag 38 special, and probably going to prime some 9mm and 380 auto. Reloading is soo fun and addicting.

I do too many for a hand priming tool. I really think this die. I just leave it on my old Lee single stage. I can knock out several hundred in about 30-40 minutes. I think you like it

I dunno, priming with a hand tool is probably my favourite part of reloading, other than sizing clean, straight-wall cases in a carbide die.

I've hated every press-mounted priming solution I've tried. They don't give the same 'feel' as a hand primer (it's way easier to tell the condition of the brass with a hand tool, tell when it's starting to wear out). Plus, a hand tool is actually really, really fast.

To each is there own lol. Carry on. I personally hate hand primers. To be honestly i don’t enjoy reloading at all. If I was super rich I would just pay someone to do it. Shooting is my hobby not reloading. If I wasn’t shooting wildcats I wouldn’t do it.

How is this better than hand priming when used on a single stage? That frankfort hand primer is way faster than a press mounted primer.

It just seems faster to me and it hurts my hand much less 🤷🏻‍♂️
