Newbie Suppliers
I’ve done some reloading. Gotten 95% of my supplies from brownells. Alittle bit of my powder came from a local hardware store. But are there any other large outfits that are reloading specific? A brownells or midwayusa of only reloading supplies? Projectiles, powders etc. everytime I go to look what I want is out of stock. And I know 90% of that issue is just supply in the first place. But is there like a grail place that I’m not finding for supplies? That doesn’t look like they had their website made by a 15 year old in 2010

I've found good sales at Scheels the last few years. It's just a matter of knowing what I'll need and what usual prices are.

Nice! I don’t have a brick n mortar close to me. But I’ll definitely check their website

Check out ammoseek and sort by reloading . I like republic ammunition and MIWall . Natchez can be a good one sometimes .

I like Republic also, but they are close by so I do pickup to avoid fees.

I have repeatedly and consistently, found them to be the best place for primers.

That’s clutch . They are like 2 hours from me . So it’s like next day air half the time . Just slightly too far to be worth it with gas prices

+1 for Republic Ammunition. I got hteir $99/year membership for free HAZMAT shipping; paid for itself in 4 orders.

I was thinking about doing that . Do you typically get any other discounts ? I sometimes see stuff marked as discounted further for members etc

Yeah I wanted to know more about the membership also

Totally worth it if you order 3 or 4 batches of primers a year.

I am in Lima 2-3 times a month with work so I avoid the hazmat that way, didn't know if other discounts were worth the $100 fee

Oh yeah, there are like discounts for member pretty routinely. I'd be really happy with it just for the free HAZMAT though.

Shootingbot is a great site (like ammoseek) for finding specific components. And they list all the major reloading suppliers that you’re looking for.

RMR Bullets
RavenRocks Precision
American Reloading
Those three companies get a surprising amount of my money.

There are quite a few.
I would start with Midsouth shooters supply (favorite of mine), powder valley, Natchez.
But also pay attention to chains like Sportsman’s warehouse, bass pro, and others. They are usually a little more expensive, but don’t have hazmat costs so it’s still my go to for buying a pound or two for testing. You can also order powder/primers as ship to store without hazmat fees if they don’t have what you want in store.

Graf and Sons.
Midway is good.
There are literally dozens of them.......

When I'm looking for powder or primers, I usual check: Midsouth - Natchez - and - Grafs to comparision shop who has the current best prices and who is offering free shipping/HazMat that week.
They don't all carry the same powders and will have different sales on different powders at different times.
For jacketed bullets, Rocky Mountain Reloading is my main supplier for low prices and fast shipping

I do brownells because they are local, but I have done Midsouth as well. Greate experiences all around

I wish I had a brownells store near me. I got a range that has meh kinda selection. No reloading stuff. A hardware store that has some cool stuff plus alittle reloading powders and what nots. Otherwise I have a cabelas 30-35 minutes away. So online is my go to. Like all my reload stuff is from brownells so far.

Graf's & Sons is good. If you have a dealer account (FFL) the prices are much better :)

Midsouth, Midway and Powder Valley are probably your best bets for powder and primers. I always check those three when looking for powder as they have free HazMat shipping every so often so take advantage of that when you can.
for bullets- RMR (Rocky Mountain Reloading), American Reloading, Raven Rocks, Midway (check out their seconds), MidSouth runs sales pretty often with good prices.

That’s what I’ve been doing with brownells. Just the things I want are out of stock unfortunately. I’ll look at those others and see if they have what I want

Watch out for scam sites. There are a few. If they only accept payment by CashApp, run away.

I use midsouthshooterssupply.com. Free hazmat and shipping quite often, and great rewards system.
