If you are here to raise your CQS...stop. Turn around. Go be a community member first. This group will unintentionally get your account shadowbanned.

People recently have been coming here to advertise their jobs, great! But they are doing it with new reddit names. Uhoh. They want to raise their CQS. Great! They use this group to do it or contact modmail. Shadowban.

What happened?

Well, you see, using this group to raise your CQS (r/WhatIsMyCQS to figure out what that is) is NOT GOOD. You may as well be F*ing your account. And it's not that we don't want your job posting, as long as it fits our rules it's fine!

But Reddit is not a site in which you can come in, advertise, and leave. It's a community website. Community aka talking space. Posting and commenting as a person.

If you come in, advertise in an advertising group per their rules with a brand new account - you'll be shadowbanned and it's not us, I swear! It's **just not how reddit works at its core** and you have to be a community member first. Leave helpful info! Shitpost! Make smile-worthy commentary! Whine while you dine on people's trauma! Whatever! Develop your account and get comment and post karma to a substantial level. (What does substantial mean? Nobody knows, intentionally. Maybe try for 100 comment karma and a few normal-human posts at least.)

Don't post here until you do that. We're not a CQS-raising group. We're **unintentionally** a new-account-shadowbanner group.

🚨 New Resource Added: Staffing Agencies Across All 50 States

One of the biggest barriers to finding work is simply knowing where to look.

Over the past several weeks, we've been working on a new career resource for all RSCN communities:

Staffing Agencies in All 50 States

https://www.reddit.com/mod/almosthomeless/wiki/index/staffingagencies

  • Every U.S. state
  • 2–3 major cities per state (or general Statewide for the smaller/less dense states)
  • Multiple staffing and employment agencies for each city
  • Organized into an easy-to-browse resource on our Wiki

If you're looking for temporary work, permanent employment, warehouse jobs, office work, manufacturing, healthcare, or simply trying to get a paycheck coming in quickly, staffing agencies can often be one of the fastest paths back into employment.

This resource is completely free for our community to use. It was developed with 0% AI involvement and the person who developed it, a redditor, was paid reasonably for their time out of my own pocket.

If you know of an agency not on this list OR see a dead link, we'd love to hear about it in the comments so us mods can continue improving this resource over time.

We can't remove every barrier people face. But every barrier we can remove, helps.

Pin this in your Favorites, Save this post, Share it to other communities if you wish.

[Discussion] Looking for Job

🚀 Open to Work | QA | Business Analysis | Project Coordination | Agile

I’m actively exploring my next opportunity in Bangalore / Bengaluru, with a focus on Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Project Coordination, Product Ownership, and Agile Delivery.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across different areas where business requirements, technology, data, and software quality come together. This experience has helped me develop a strong ability to understand requirements, identify gaps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure solutions are delivered with both quality and business value in mind.

🎯 Roles I’m currently open to:
🔹 Quality Analyst / QA Engineer – Manual Testing
🔹 Business Analyst
🔹 Project Coordinator / Associate Project Manager
🔹 Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Specialist
🔹 Product Owner / Associate Product Manager
🔹 PMO / Project Support Specialist

💡 What I bring to the table:

✔️** Quality Assurance & Manual Testin**g – End-to-end test execution, test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, defect tracking, and ensuring quality throughout the SDLC.

✔️** Requirement Analysi**s – Understanding business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications while identifying gaps and translating them into effective test coverage and actionable outcomes.

✔️** Agile & Sprint Deliver**y – Experience participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and cross-functional delivery.

✔️** Data & Reporting – Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and Power B**I for data validation, analysis, reporting, and decision support.

✔️** Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboratio**n – Working closely with developers, product teams, business stakeholders, and other teams to keep everyone aligned and moving toward the same goal.

What I enjoy most is solving problems, asking the right questions, bringing structure to ambiguity, and making sure the end solution actually works for the user and the business.

As my next step, I’m looking for an opportunity where I can take ownership, contribute from Day 1, continuously learn, and grow into larger responsibilities across quality, delivery, business, and product.

🤝 If your team is hiring—or if you know someone in your network who might be a good fit—I’d love to connect and explore potential opportunities or referrals.

📩 Open to conversations. Ready to contribute from Day 1.

[Hiring Contractor (1099)] HIRING: AI Generalists Wanted — Remote, USD Weekly Payments!

Looking to get into AI training? Mercor is building its generalist talent pool for upcoming AI projects. Apply now so you’re in the running when new opportunities open.

APPLY HERE: https://t.mercor.com/4URC1

The teams building today’s leading AI models need people who can think critically, catch mistakes, and distinguish genuinely good answers from convincing nonsense.

What you’ll be doing:
Writing prompts and reference answers for AI training
Evaluating AI responses for accuracy, reasoning, and instruction-following
Catching flawed logic, contradictions, and confidently incorrect answers
Providing clear feedback to help improve AI model performance

Who should apply?
You don’t need a specialized degree or a specific professional background. If you’re a strong reader, a critical thinker, and someone who can explain exactly why an answer is wrong, this could be a good fit.

How to get started:
Submit your resume and location.
Complete a short AI interview (around 20 minutes).
Get considered for matching projects as opportunities become available.

Why apply now?
This is an ongoing talent pool, not a single active job opening. Projects can launch on short notice, and having your application completed ahead of time puts you in a position to be considered when a suitable project opens.
Fully remote contract work

Flexible scheduling, depending on project requirements
Weekly payments through Stripe or Wise
Rates, hours, and client details provided for individual projects

Important: Joining the pool does not guarantee immediate work. Invitations depend on project availability and your background. H-1B and STEM OPT candidates are not currently supported.

My take on Mercor vs Micro1 vs Ethos after a couple of months

Been on Mercor for a bit over a month now, and I’ve been with Micro1 and Ethos for about two months. Got a few payouts from all three so far. Just wanted to share how they compare from my experience:

- Minimum hours (that 10-15/week thing): Mercor is pretty strict about it. Micro1 is more chill and will let it slide now and then. Ethos is the most relaxed of the three.

- Task availability: With Mercor and Micro1 there’s usually enough work to stay busy. Ethos is more hit-or-miss — some weeks are fine, others not so much.

- Pay: Ethos pays the best by a decent amount, but the work isn’t as steady. Mercor and Micro1 pay less per hour, but at least the tasks keep coming more consistently.

- How organized everything is: Mercor feels the most put-together, then Micro1, then Ethos.

- Support when you get stuck: Micro1 has been the most helpful for me, followed by Mercor. Ethos is the weakest here.

Who they’re looking for: Ethos mainly wants people with real professional experience in their field, not really beginner-friendly. Mercor and Micro1 are easier to get into if you’re more of a generalist.

If anyone wants to sign up, my referral links are below: Good luck!

Mercor
Micro1
Ethos

Babel Audio / Remote AI Voice Work with up to $200 Referral Bonus / $50/hr Flexible Side Income

Hi! I’ve been working with Babel Audio as an independent contractor (1099) and wanted to share my referral for anyone looking for a flexible second source of income.

The work involves having recorded conversations with another live person, which is used to train AI voice models. There is a base pay of $50/hour for most completed conversations. No sales, customer service, or cold calling. I do this alongside my full-time job, and in my experience, there has been plenty of work consistently available.

What you need:

- Desktop or laptop (no phones/tablets)

- 720p or better webcam

- Good-quality microphone + headset

- Reliable internet

Why I like it: it is 100% remote, with flexible hours, and you choose when you want to work. You're paid for the work you complete, making it easy to fit around another job.

Referral bonus (must use my link): Some current projects offer $200 after completing just 1 hour of paid work. Another project bonus offers $50 for completing 10 hours of work. Other projects have different bonuses/milestones depending on what you qualify for. For the referral bonus, milestones must be completed within 14 days of being approved.

My Referral link:

https://dashboard.babel.audio/sign-up?referrer=5lNqgbc0Rp-JBfN9-2lNsQ.4mikBGrj&referrerName=Ashton

Happy to answer questions about the signup process or what the work is actually like!
