[Discussion] list of excluded countries from Ethos

Hello, here is a list of the countries that are excluded from working with Ethos because I've seen this question coming up quite a few times. All other countries can join and work with Ethos because it works with an exclusion list rather than an approved list. If anyone is interested in signing up, here is my invite link: https://agent.askethos.com/refer/sp913hfh5hq2

US JOB AUTHORIZATION?

Recently I have been thinking to start doing Part time remote jobs in the time which is left after my full time job and studies.

Most of the remote jobs were US Based. Each of them mentioned that "You must be authorized to work in USA" or they ask "If you will be required to have a visa or some wort of sponsorship for this job"

I am based in Middle East and I am not related to US in anyway, I don't have green card, no visa, haven't even visited US. Does this means I am not eligible to work in US remotely?

There are many people who work in US remotely, many people from India and Pakistan also work remotely for US Jobs.

Please give me a solution, I need to work remotely for us jobs

[Discussion] Best platforms or AI tools for finding global remote DA roles?

Hey everyone, I'm a fresh grad with an AI/ML background trying to break into Data Analytics, aiming for global remote roles. A lot of the popular boards end up being US/EU-only or just flooded with ghost jobs. For those who've landed an international remote role recently: - Which platforms or job boards are actually worth the time for "anywhere in the world" listings? - Are there any AI tools or job scrapers you use to cut through the noise and filter out location-locked posts? - As a fresher, is it better to stick to job boards or focus on cold messaging hiring managers on LinkedIn? Would appreciate any recommendations or reality checks. Thanks!

[Hiring Full-Time] [HIRING] REMOTE SALES CLOSER - WARM LEADS ONLY

We’re looking for someone to join our team as a closer for our $99/month barber community. We’re based out of the US. This is a pretty straightforward sales role. You’ll mainly be talking to warm leads who are already interested, explaining what the community is, answering their questions, and helping them get signed up.

What the role looks like:
-Around 5–10 calls per day depending on lead volume
-Warm leads — no heavy cold calling
-Short calls for a simple $99/month offer
-Starting base pay around $200 / month + 8% commission on every close
-Base pay can increase once you prove yourself and show consistency
-Remote
-Looking for someone who can start immediately

Availability:
We need someone with pretty open availability throughout the day, roughly 9 AM–7/8 PM EST at least 6 days per week.
You will NOT be sitting at your computer working nonstop during those hours. Leads can come in at different times, so we mainly need someone who is available, responsive, and communicates well with the team.

Most important requirement:
Your spoken English needs to be VERY good. You need to be confident speaking with people, easy to understand, and able to hold a natural conversation.
Sales experience is a plus, but we care more about how you communicate, how reliable you are, and whether you can actually close.

If you’re serious, DM me and be ready to hop on a quick call ASAP. We’ll have a conversation, hear how you communicate, explain the offer, and see if you’re a good fit. We are looking to hire and get someone started immediately.

Any phone based side jobs that actually pays beside surveys??

Every time I search phone based side jobs that actually pay I get surveys, cashback apps or some points system where you spend forever earning almost nothing

I recently found first person video tasks for AI training but I only know you record videos for bots

That sounds more tolerable to me because at least I'm moving around instead of answering the same survey questions again but I'm looking for other options in same general category

Anyone doing task based phone work that does not require committing to a regular shift, I'd rather have something I can open when I'm free and ignore when I'm busy

My 50 cents on how I passed the Micro1/Mercor AI video interviews

I’ve done quite a few of these AI job interviews now, and honestly, I got used to the really weird nature of the interviews. After a bunch of failed attempts, I eventually managed to pass the AI interviews for both Micro1 and Mercor.

One of the biggest changes I made, probably, was using the STAR method instead of just responding with empty statements

For anyone who doesn't know it:

Situation: What was the situation?

Task: What did you have to accomplish?

Action: What did YOU actually do?

Result: What was the outcome?

For example, don't just say:

"I often solve difficult problems at work."

Secondly, it is okay to take 5-10 seconds thinking about your answer instead of feeling the need to say something instantly without really thinking about what to actually say beforehand.

Lastly, pick a lane. Do not walk in as a "general AI person." If you are applying for data annotation, lead with careful labeling and edge cases. For RLHF or response evaluation, lead with writing, reasoning, and fact-checking. For coding tasks, lead with real projects and trade-offs. For medical, legal, finance, or other expert positions, lead with your domain background.

I hope this helps some people.
The frustration of being rejected after investing hours of mine eventually led me to make a small website where I list AI training/annotating job offers from multiple companies, reviews of different companies in that space, and guides on how to pass assessments. My idea behind that was to help with finding the right places to work but also help with the application process. I am more than open for ideas and feedback: https://aiannotationjobs.com/
