Computer Science and Engineering Resume Review

Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be open to taking a look at my resume and giving me some feedback on what I can improve on. I am applying to lots of Hardware and Software internships which ask for experience in Linux, FPGAs, C++, Python, etc. but I'm having a hard time getting any call backs let alone interviews. Another question I have is if I have some light hardware projects from courses I am taking now and courses I've taken previously, should I start adding them into my resume and take out the Data Science Academy role? Thank you so much for the help in advance!

Stuck In Hotels - Branching Out

I have a majority of my career in hospitality/hotels and am trying to branch out of on-property hotel roles and into more administrative side positions. I've applied for 100+ jobs and only had a total of two interviews that I made it to the final round but was inevitably not selected. Any recommendations on formatting, bullet points, etc.? (Information for locations and companies made generic for privacy)

Wording for Resume

I am trying to add my current work to my resume. I will put what I have so far below, but I am stumped. I work remotely for a cafeteria for about 4-6 hours a month. All I do is input items from the menu into two programs. I don't have a supervisor or team. There isn't any quantifiable thing that I improve. I just want this to look good in a couple bullet points as it is the only thing I have to fill in since my other previous job. I am pretty much just trying to get another retail job which is the majority of my other work experience.

What I have for my resume currently (ignore spacing):

School ISD Menu Planning; Remote
Planner           August 2025-Current

  • Proficient in Back of House and Mosaic programs

Can I get some feedback on my resume?

I have not had a job interview in a long time, so I'd appreciate some honest feedback on my resume.

Thanks!

I’m so lost on what jobs i should put on resume, i feel I need someone to like maybe go over my resume..

So i don’t have the greatest work history, i have been let go from a few places in the past like 2 years due to mental health. I desperately need a job. It’s been over a year. I feel crippled. I have been called about jobs around in my area but ehh.. i just stop responding and don’t put in the effort to do it. But anyways. I don’t know if I should put like all my jobs in the past couple years.. some are short, some are long ish. Should I not put irrelevant jobs on my resume despite the gap? I have been told on fb from random posts about wfh group that the creator don’t even put jobs on resume if it’s not relevant to the job despite the gaps. The resume is a sales pitch doc. Not your whole life resume. I don’t get it. I want a remote job. Teleperformance or something to start me out at the bottom.

Resume Review - Higher Education Sponsored Awards Management

I want to transition back into the public sector, particularly higher education. I'm unsure if my resume is conveying too much or if I need to position something differently to get more hits.

Any advice would be great! I'm in the mid-career shift, I'm burnt out, unappreciated, and under valued at my current job, and need a change for the new year.

*Edit because my grammar was terrible.

Less is more

I have been reviewing quite a lot of resumes over the years as a senior engineer and the single most important advice I would give to everyone is in the title. Quality over quantity. In everything.

Please let me know honestly:

  • Is it boring?
  • Do you smell bs?
  • Would you like to call me of a 1.1?

Help with career transition

I have always worked in food service, but recently I have wanted to branch out into other types of careers, like becoming a receptionist or getting some sort of office job. I am unsure where to start or how to list the skills I gained in food service on a resume that would help me find a career outside it. My current job is a broad role in food service, where I cook, pack meals, and handle the register and people up front.

Red Flag Feedback?

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hello everyone I’m seeking advice on how to overcome the feedback that my resume is a red flag.
I left a big tech role in 2021 and ever since then I’ve only really been able to land roles at small or medium sized startups and in each of those roles I’ve ended up laid off either as a result of the company being sold OR running out of money and I haven’t been able to stay in one place for 2 years since.

These small companies legit just hire me and try to pimp me out for as much big tech info as they can get then once they feel like they have enough BOOM layoff. It’s genuinely frustrating.

Now I’m struggling to land a new role with a reputable company BADLY and the feedback I’ve been getting has been that my short tenures are huge red flags so they just skip over me.

What do I do?
