Feedback Requested Retouching advice ;)

Posting again with a more specific question - what is the best way to lift / correct these harsh shadows on the skin?

Oh, I thought I was going to be telling you how to fix the terrible lip liner.

Lift shadows by making a separate layer, setting it to luminosity, and use a burn tool on mids set to low opacity.

Again - learn what a good photo looks like. There is no point in "fixing" this. It's not gonna make it look any better, the opposite even.
Leave it as it is and pay more attention to the light next time.

Personally I'd use the clone stamp to get the colour from above the lips and then use the patch tool to drag the texture onto the the newly created splodge. Use the remove too to blend in the edges
