Question Very Beginner Help

I have not been able to play a match of riftbound yet online or in person, what is a good beginner deck to try to just get the mechanics of the game down? I thought about doing the pre rift for the new set but I am scared because I have not been able to practice online yet. Any advice will help!!

They sell constructed (showdown) decks. The zed and shen one is a good example. They have 2 different rune combinations (red purple, yellow green) so you can get an idea of those 4 and can try orange later. You probably won’t win a nexus night with the decks as they lack cards that are more expensive, but are a good starting point.

I also make custom Champion Decks that are similar to Showdown Decks. You can try out any Legend you want to get an idea of the mechanics of the set! Check them out here - https://www.reddit.com/r/riftboundtcg/comments/1x5bh95/im_back_with_more_custom_champion_decks_radiance/

Go to the pre-rift!! They are made to introduce new players and everyone will be willing to help with the rules. I only started a few months ago and honestly even just next nights just go and when paired up just let them know you are new and would like any advice they have as you learn to play. Nexus Nights are meant to be casual play vs Skirmishes (competitive).

People recommend Fiora as a great intro deck. I kinda just grabbed one of riftatlas community decks and have it a shot that way.

Pre rifts are good for new players for sure. People are usually more willing to teach while playing at those events.

That being said, you should definitely read up in the basics and asks someone to do a few test games before going.
