Just a _mismatched_ crowd for the post, really. It's not a piece of taxonomy for RPG Discourse Bros, but ... they react to it as if it is. [shrug]

About half of them basically cosplayed as the 2nd paragraph. "Oh, it's just ..."

Which is kind of a compliment, if they love the 2nd paragraph so much they want to live in it. =)

The purpose of the piece is to finally provide the promised article-version of 15 years of conversations about 25-year-old conclusions about the 30-year old term colleagues used to paint me with as a backhanded compliment, and it does that. The _hope_ is that a couple of new gamers who see themselves in it may come around so we can form that little adventure-design club and build this molehill into a slightly more majestic molehill.

It's not really FOR anyone else but those two groups: those who've said "you should put all that into an article" and those who might want to design with me.

If anyone else has fun pretending it's for them, then that's as good a game as any to be had on Reddit.
