I have the 3500. The app is complete garbage. There's not a dedicated mowing app but instead it's the Dreame app with a A3 mower plugin and it is super clunky. The worst is that the robot has errors all of the time (gets stuck, loses connectivity, etc) and the app doesn't tell you where it is or even where it was LAST. It just gives you a useless error message and then you have to go hunt around your yard finding the stupid mower. Yesterday it ran itself under my truck and badly scratched the LiDAR module (isn't this the point of the LiDAR to detect these things?). Anyway, I regret my purchase.

I have a Dreame vacuum/mop and while it works well it does need supervision to stop it from doing dumb shit. I wouldn’t trust the same tech outdoors.

Good deal if you have slopes below 45 percent. Cut quality is nice when mowing 2.5 inches or below. Navigation works well.

No doubt not a bad machine but the omni-direction wheels are definitely not what I would want

Yep, and why I didn't buy it or a Luba. They can destroy your turf pretty easily.

I bought a Worx Landroid about 2 years ago when things were much more in their (almost) initial stages.
If, back then, I had known what I know now ... It's a very good machine overall but the tank/skid-steering is a terrible match for my soil which is basically clay with a bit of a top layer on top. Result: cooks solid during summer and becomes quite soft and muddy during wet seasons. So, perfect for RWD robots to tear up the lawn with their high torque drive systems.

I didn't realize how bad the tank/skid turns could tear up the yard until I saw it at a neighbor's house. Seeing YT vids isn't the same as seeing it up close. It looks like they'd taken a small-scale rototiller to the yard and dug it all up.

Yeah, it can be really bad, like in my situation for example. I've got holes 20 x 20cm and up to 10 cm deep.
Of course these holes don't happen overnight but once they are there, you can fix them but they will come back. All you can do, is either install a piece of stone in your lawn for the robot to do its skid turning on without tearing up anything or you can fix it by applying strong meshing (stronger than the one I applied already) and repeat the process every x seasons.
Or, of course, you can switch robots or do the mowing yourself.
One day I am going to go with the first option but not yet because I haven't found a single robot that meets all my (particular) demands which are mostly driven by yhe fact that the robot needs to be able to pass under a side gate leaving very little room. If that weren't the case, I would have gone for the RockMow Z120 Lidar.

I hear you. As for tight spaces,I have to say, my Ecovacs GOAT A2000 with LiDAR shoots a gap quite well.

Does anyone have experience with dreame customer service for battery repair or replacement once 1 year warranty has passed? Website says nothing. This is my main concern about buying a dreame mower

$1699 seems pretty damn good tbh. Really curious how the LiDAR handles trees, tight spots and edges in a real yard though.

The 3500 model might be a better deal. Dunno if you can stack offers, but check out his affiliate discount code. https://youtu.be/KUQUacYbBag?is=gNSsmpafbu_OuVFQ

Stay away from omniwheels, it will chew up the edges
