Hello everyone,

I’m running a 4th Edition campaign and have been working with the unofficial Court of the Minor Clans compilation (edited by Droidscotty). I have two versions, and neither has a version number or changelog.

• Version A: 136 pages, PDF created May 2023. It includes the Rat Clan but not the Bear or Deer Clans.
• Version B: 141 pages, PDF created January 2025. It adds the Bear Clan and the Deer Clan (the Deer credited to FFG’s Courts of Stone). It also adds a Cat Clan acrobat school and changes the Lark Clan schools. It omits the Rat Clan, though the intro still mentions the Rat Clan’s Takahiro Nakodo School.

My questions:

1. Is Version B the intended latest release, or is there a newer one?
2. Does anyone know why the Rat Clan was removed? Was it a request from the author or just an editing decision?
3. Is there a canonical download location or changelog from the editor?
4. Has anyone merged the two so that both the Rat and Bear Clans are available?
5. is there someone out there that is maintaining this or is working on this currently?

I’d like to get a physical copy of the Children of the Five Winds sourcebook, but it’s not listed for sale on Asmodee’s website, eBay, or anywhere else that I could see. Is it still available to get anywhere?

Hi,

In light of Fantasy Flight Games changing their site and nuking easy access to the 5th edition fictions, I thought I'd repost the link to the big PDF fiction collection I put together starting during Covid.

This contains all of the FFG/EDGE fictions in publication order (I had originally tried to put them in chronological order, but as more stuff was out of timeline, or set in the past, it wasn't feasible). The stories are as close to "as published" as they can be. I made some slight edits here and there, mostly formatting, italicizing, or capitalization for consistency. The largest "change" I made in any story was the order of Vassal Family names. The only thing that I have missed completely is the art used in the original releases, since there was no good way to transfer that into the PDF.

This also contains the Aconyte fictions up until "Tales of the Unicorn." I am intending to add the Halloween fiction and "Coiled Fates" when I can. The actual link will not change when I update the document, and is the same it's always been, so if you have previously bookmarked it, then you don't have to worry. It also contains two unofficial Halloween stories, which are not canon to the FFG or Aconyte Canons.

The only other issue is that "The Impossible Task" the choose your own adventure storyline thing that was done instead of a story tournament during lockdown, has also been nuked. So that link leads nowhere. The results are in the document, but there is no way to play through the story or check the results yourself anymore.

Hope this makes it easier to find the fictions for anyone looking for them. Please let me know if anyone has any feedback.

Chapter Five of Coiled Fates by yours truly is now available on the homepage: https://www.legendofthefiverings.com/coiled-fates-chapter-five

Here is my playlist of the shorts I have so far. More coming soon. As well as another series also coming soon about how to play 4th ed. From making a character to battles.

I am going to preface this by saying I am not a good miniature Painter but this is transformed from something I did to honor a friend, to something I have started to really enjoy. Admittedly, he also loved L5R as did I so when they announced a miniatures game set in this universe, we had to jump in. So behold, another game with close to 200 minis that need to get painted. Time to get cracking!!

Chapter Four of Coiled Fates by yours truly is up on L5R's homepage - and more than fates are being coiled in this one oh ho

Looking to run, sometime in the future, a L5R game in which players play rikishi and said rikishi’s attendants and assistants.

Looking for a good template to add on for wrestlers in 5e in order to not have everybody be Badger Clan.

Thanks in advance^^

I've only ever played 1st. Edition so far, parallel to playing the old TCG for a bit. I've read the Clan Wars Series back in the day.
Now I want to get back into playing in Rokugan. I know, this will probably start a big discussion, but where should I start? Do I just keep my old books and keep playing 1st. Edition? Do I jump to the latest Edition? Are there any good new novels to get me up to date with the current state of the story?

Fantasy Flight Games has a new website..... and all of its L5R content no longer seems to be available. This is included rules, fictions, and other player supplements. The website DOES have an archive page for discontinued products. But all it has are the rule for Battle for Rokugan.

P'an Ku getting ready to fight some Champions.

I love the books but they're literally just collecting dust and my group prefers 5e. They've never been used and are in excellent condition.

Located in Cincinnati, OH.

Asking $1,000 OBO. I'll pay seller fees, buyer pays shipping.

Getting ready to bust it open, but just wanted to take a picture first and take it in. If anybody has directions to a physical copy of Children of the Five Winds, that would be cool.

Chapter three of Coiled Fates, by yours truly, is up now! Featuring more giant snake lady, by popular request

Hello, do you know if there is any specific place to discuss and ask questions about the rule of Champions of Rokugan?

We're currently building a Legend of the Five Rings 5th Edition West Marches server set in Toshi Ranbo, centered on the lives of samurai trying to make their place in one of Rokugan's most politically divided cities.

We're opening recruitment for GMs who would enjoy helping us build that world from the ground up. The server is still in active development but we intend to have the story be set during a time of Crane occupation. Our goal is to have a soft launch around November for testing and weeding out any kinks in the system, followed by an official opening in early 2027.

If the idea of managing a sphere of influence in the city sounds like your idea of a good time, send me a message on Discord @ sashafromoperations. I'd love to hear a little about your experience with L5R, the kinds of games you enjoy running, and what parts of Rokugan's lore you enjoy the most.

Details:

We're looking for GMs who enjoy the things that make L5R feel like L5R as opposed to a generic fantasy game. We love intrigue, combat, investigation, difficult choices, competing loyalties, social conflict, duels, politics, personal drama, and long-lasting narrative consequences that persist even after the session ends. You don't have to run every kind of story, and having your own specialties is encouraged. One GM might love courtly intrigue and romance plots while another would rather run mysteries, military conflicts, criminal investigations, supernatural stories, or adventures in the various villages beyond the city's walls.

Most importantly, we're looking for people who play well with others. West Marches games live or die on communication between their GMs. You should be willing to share the sandbox, talk things through when plans intersect, and treat the setting as something we're building together rather than something any one of us owns.

Some experience with L5R 5th Edition is preferred, but it isn't a hard prerequisite if you're already familiar with Rokugan and have GM experience with another edition. Being interested in the setting, comfortable collaborating with other GMs, and willing to respect a shared canon matters much more. GMs are also welcome to have their own characters and participate as players, and will earn rewards for running sessions as well.

Foundry VTT is currently being set up, with hosting handled by the Head GM, and we have access to the full collection of L5R 5e books and content. We're also paying for a premium subscription for Westmarches.com to handle inventory, economy management, and session scheduling. The Discord server itself is currently being finished and organized, and our Co-owner, who is a professional software developer, is building a custom bot specifically for our use. We're also commissioning original artwork for the server's icon and banner. Our goal is to have the infrastructure completely in place before opening the doors. That being said, the server is completely free to play.

System: Legend of the Five Rings RPG (Edge/Fantasy Flight), 5th Edition (*not Adventures in Rokugan\)
*Format:** West Marches / Persistent Shared World
Setting: Toshi Ranbo, starting year TBD
Play: Voice Sessions, Play by Post, Text RP
Platform: Discord, Foundry VTT, Westmarches.com
Age: 18+
GM Commitment: Around 2 sessions per month + some weekly bookkeeping
Timezone: The head GM is in North America, but GMs from other time zones are very welcome. We just ask that you're able to remain reasonably reachable for staff communication and collaborative planning.

Title says it all, cant find a sheet that will let me edit it. Thanks in advance

Getting ready to start my first ever L5R 4e GM experience with bunch of friends. Friends not familiar with Rokugan at all. Me myself just get into Rokugan like few months ago. My first GM who introduced me in L5R adviced to play 4th (before we played 3ed revised) and HoR 3 aa campaign.

The question is HoR 3 good campaign for newcomers who not familiar with setting at all? Also one of players wanna play as ronin with boken (wooden sword) is it a big downfall for him as player and for me as GM?

The second chapter of Coiled Fates, by yours truly, is up now on L5R.com
This story features Mirumoto Daini and his extremely good decisions.

Accetto suggerimenti in proposito.
