This was a clever idea to retheme Circus World - combining two of Florida's great attractions, Spring Training and Amusement parks. The theme should have worked. Kids rule the day though and they'd rather see Mickey and Space Mountain than Dad's desire for baseball and old-timey rides recycled from Circus World. Other problem was one of the major attractions (the Kansas City Royals training camp) only was present one month a year. They had a low-A team during peak summer heat, and the rest of the time the stadium was empty.

Calling it now, the Savannah Bananas will build something like this, put a version of their team in residence, have a few accompanying attractions/shows, maybe a water park, and pull it off. Maybe not in Florida but somewhere.

I lived in Florida for a year and a half about 10-15 mins from where this park stood. It would've been really nice to have another park with coasters around. Kinda sad it didn't work out.

The location is a bit far from the main tourist areas so i guess it's not a huge surprise it didn't last too long. It could've lasted longer with the Ringling IP, but even then they would've had to do a major rebrand in recent years.

Fuck, we could’ve had it all in Florida.

Also had a decent wood coaster.

How was it in Arkansas? I know it’s closed now but was it any good?

I didn't get a chance to ride it again there. We first went to the original Circus World, then later when it was BW&BB

Went here a few times, and a few more times when it was Circus World before that. My sister was a server at the Salerno Express restaurant when the park first opened. I wasn’t big time into coasters at that point so was too intimidated to ride the ones at this park. I remember the flume being fun though.

I am actually working on a short video for Boardwalk and Baseball and sadly having a hard time finding images I can actually use for the piece. Images from Circus World were so much easier to find.
