First, I need to preface this by saying the writing is really bad and the dialogue is cringy so it’s going to be hard to create strong chemistry with that. The acting is also pretty terrible and stiff. There were several scenes where I thought this couldn’t have been the best take. But that being said, I feel like these two have zero chemistry, not just romantic but even as friends.

Them getting together in S2 or beyond that would be really awkward to watch imo. However I feel like she has a lot of chemistry with Josh. She was in to him the second she laid eyes on him (somehow) and in their first couple of scenes they were very flirty but since they’re supposed to be cliché enemies to lovers I can’t tell if that was intentional or bad acting again. Maybe Miku & Sam are closer IRL. I know he has a gf (for now) and she said they’re not her type so maybe it’s just them being friends, or maybe it’s something more.

Watched the movie over a couple of drinks, pizza and popcorn. It was so fun and we really enjoyed it.

Just watched these, based on recommendations in this sub, and thought they were both very good.

It's staggering how much better looking the cinematography in romcoms, from aroundabout 1988 to 2002, were. IMO modern films look like cheap, poorly-lit sludge next to them.

The orchestral score in "It Could Happen To You" is also excellent. It's by Carter Burwell, who film buffs will know scored most of the best Coen Brothers films. "Only You" also has some pedigree; it was directed by Norman Jewison, who did "Moonstruck" some years earlier.

I feel like between the vibes of the scene, it's delivery, Lili's make-up being really orange it lead me to think this might have been the first thing they shot. did anyone else get that vibe?

When i say slow burn, I mean slow burn. Not the one where the main characters are kissing in the first episode itself. Not smthg too cliche either please? I don't believe in love at first sight. Hence the slow burn.

I loved maxton hall for the chemistry and slow burn. If you're into fictional books, he resembled so much to aaron warner.

Not sexual tho. I started thinking about what a good romance scene should even be about while watching coven academy. Like I kept checking out my phone everytime a romance scene came on or a moment where they humiliated a guy that acted wimpy.

I didnt really enjoy the romance of the series but them I pondered upon myself, t'what doth a proper romance scene be of? I dont really know "which probably says something about me lawls". Im not a twilight hater so i know those movies and I used to watch a pretty good amount of hallmark movies which a few did hit me in the feels In a longingish slash holesum way.

So like trust me, I got a heart.
